Firestorm is a superhero with the ability to channel energy and alter the atomic composition of matter. The composite character has in the past been formed from the combination of various individuals, originally high school student Ronnie Raymond and Nobel Award-winning physicist Martin Stein, debuting in Gerry Conway and Al Milgrom's Firestorm: The Nuclear Man #1 in 1978.
