Distinguished costume designer, resident in Los Angeles from 1929. He worked on many prestige pictures for MGM (1938-1944) and Paramount (1946-1949). In his spare time he was an avid painter, whose works went on display at several California art exhibitions from the early 1930's. Died from a heart attack, aged just 43.
