He died from a rattlesnake bite during one of his frequent hikes in the Hollywood Hills. In an eerie coincidence, on the very same day he died the co-writer of Palm Springs (1936), Humphrey Pearson, one of Guy's last films, died in Palm Springs of a gunshot wound. See more »
