Jessica Chastain Is an Alien Shapeshifter in X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Jessica Chastain Is an Alien Shapeshifter in X-Men: Dark Phoenix
We finally received a tiny morsel of news about X-Men: Dark Phoenix and learned a little bit about Jessica Chastain's villainous alien shapeshifter character, which has led many to wonder aloud if she's a Skrull. It was originally thought that Chastain was playing Lilandra, the leader of the Shi'ar Empire since she plays such a large part in the comics when taking over Jean Gray, but Chastain shot down those rumors earlier this year. Since then, we've been left in the dark, but we received some new information today and it seems highly likely that Jessica Chastain could be playing a Skrull.

As Jessica Chastain revealed, she is indeed, not playing Lilandra, but instead an alien shapeshifter. She is shown in the new Entertainment Weekly story in a blonde wig while standing in house with a wall that's been blown out. The article states that Chastain will be playing

Hugh Jackman as P.T. Barnum Revealed in The Greatest Showman
With his 17-year stint as The Wolverine behind him, after the blockbuster swan song Logan, Hugh Jackman is returning to his musical roots with the biopic The Greatest Showman. The beloved actor will take on the larger-than-life circus pioneer P.T. Barnum, and while we wait for the first trailer to debut, the first photos have surfaced offering a glimpse at Hugh Jackman and his co-stars Zac Efron, Michelle Williams and Zendaya. Hugh Jackman and director Michael Gracey also shed some new light on this project, which was almost a completely different take on the showman's life.

Way back in August 2011, we reported that commercial director and visual artist Michael Gracey came aboard to make his feature directorial debut with The Greatest Showman. The project was initially announced two years earlier, but at the time, it was being conceived as a traditional biopic. The director told Entertainment Weekly that he suggested the project be a musical,

'People V. O.J. Simpson' Shocks Audiences with This Very Bad Swear Word
Last night, FX aired the third episode of The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, entitled The Dream Team, which focused on O.J. Simpson's (Cuba Gooding Jr.) powerful legal defense team coming together. Many were quite shocked and surprised when the very last sentence uttered in the episode contained a curse word hardly ever heard on primetime TV. Entertainment Weekly reports that last night's episode may be the first time that "motherf---er" has ever been said on a non-pay channel before midnight.

The last scene of the episode featured Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark going into her backyard in the wee hours of the morning, to read the daily newspaper. On the front page, she finds that the infamous Johnnie L. Cochran (Courtney B. Vance) has joined O.J. Simpson's defense team. Her response to the news was, "Cochran ... motherf-er," as the episode came to end.

Barbra Streisand Once Served Ryan Murphy and Lady Gaga Frozen Yogurt in her Basement Mall
Entertainment Weekly’s first-ever EW Fest on Saturday included a "Ryan Murphy and Friends" panel, with the seemingly indefatigable showrunner bringing out Scream Queens cast members Keke Palmer, Emma Roberts, and Lea Michele, and American Horror Story: Hotel's Kathy Bates and Matt Bomer, to chat with EW’s Tim Stack about everything Murphy. Here’s what we thought you should know. Murphy and Lady Gaga ate frozen yogurt at Barbra Streisand's house. Murphy told the story — also known as my nightly dream — of going with Lady Gaga to Barbra Streisand's house for dinner, and then taking a tour of her famous basement mall, in which she served them frozen yogurt. Let’s just slow down: Barbra Streisand's basement frozen yogurt store. As he explained: "That was an evening that was jaw-dropping for me. We had dinner with Barbra and Jim, and Kelly [Preston] and John [Travolta], and Gaga and I.

American Horror Story: Ryan Murphy Says Jessica Lange’s “Not Gone Forever”

For the past four seasons of American Horror Story, there were a few guarantees: some genuine, terrifying scares; lots and lots of straight-up crazy (and sometimes downright confusing) plot developments; and an always electrifying performance from Ahs queen Jessica Lange. And while I’m sure we’ll still get the scares and the insanity that we’re used to with American Horror Story in its upcoming fifth season, titled Hotel, we won’t be getting any of Jessica Lange, as she decided to not return to the series for Season 5 to instead head back to Broadway. However, just because we won’t see Lange at all in Hotel doesn’t mean we’ll never see her on American Horror Story again. In fact, series co-creator Ryan Murphy has promised that “she’ll be back” in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve been talking to her,” Murphy tells EW‘s Tim Stack.

American Horror Story and Scream Queens Comic-Con Panel Recap

American Horror Story is still going strong, but in the fall, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are brining a brand new anthology series to Fox, Scream Queens. The horror-comedy centers on Kappa, the top sorority on campus with sky-high standards. When Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) demands that Kappa accept all new pledges, “Queen Bitch” Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) isn’t happy about it. However, that should be the least of her worries because there’s also a devil-clad killer racking up a body count on campus. Earlier today Murphy along with cast members Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Skyler Samuels, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin and Billie Lourd hit the Hall H stage alongside Angela Bassett, Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates of American Horror Story: Hotel for one, big joint panel moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s Tim Stack. Jessica Lange Shading Lady Gaga Is Why the Internet Was Created

  • VH1.com
“Shade” is not a word on my radar, and I don’t care when people throw it or get it. (Peace and love and butterflies all day, guys). But this clip of Jessica Lange literally rejecting the thought of Lady Gaga with her body, is the best thing I’ve seen in my 24 years of life.

The American Horror Story goddess broke our hearts when confirming she won’t return for season 5. And sorry, but if you thought Gaga getting cast would convince her to stay you’re completely mistaken. At the Ahs PaleyFest panel, moderator Tim Stack asked Lange as much when she almost started convulsing, only to reply, “What does that mean? I don’t understand the question.” Not a very good week for Gaga, huh?

This is how it went down. First was utter disbelief. “Did this guy really just go there?”

Then came the realization that yep,

‘American Horror Story’ Cast Imagines Future Seasons at PaleyFest Closing Night
The closing night of PaleyFest 2015 was an occasion to get freaky, as the cast of “American Horror Story: Freak Show” gathered with fans to celebrate the success of the past season and to look ahead to “Ahs: Hotel.”

Prior to the panel, Ryan Murphy’s band of merry players walked the red carpet to the tune of hundreds of screaming fans. Some of the stars even revealed which possible season themes would most terrify them.

“I was thinking they should do ‘American Horror Story: Space,’” said Finn Wittrock, who played the twisted rich boy Dandy on “Freak Show.” Why? “Because that’s terrifying. No oxygen, no sound, dead in a second. It would be a short one.”

Sarah Paulson, who has starred on all four seasons of the anthology show, had also given some thought to how she’d live out her nightmare onscreen. She envisioned a

Mark Salling Still Wishes ‘Glee’ Would’ve Let Him Sing Some Radiohead

  • VH1.com
The cast of Glee has sung Madonna. They’ve sung Beyonce. They’ve sung everything from Fleetwood Mac to Katy Perry. Yet, after six seasons and hundreds of musical performances, there are still some songs they wish they could’ve recorded.

While Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Darren Criss, Dot-Marie Jones, Mark Salling, and Chord Overstreet all spent the show’s tear-filled PaleyFest farewell panel reminiscing on the past six years, they took some on the red carpet prior to dream up the performances that could’ve been.

“Every time I would hear a good song, I’d be like, ‘Oh I wish I could do this on Glee,” answered Salling. “I never got to do one I wanted either. I wanted to do a Radiohead song, but that I guess it didn’t really fit,” he said.

“I got to do the ‘Trolley’ song with Carol Burnett,

During a live Q&A with the Empire cast, Trai Byers proved that despite his character Andre Lyon’s musical shortcomings, the actor can belt it out in real life.

Around the 30-minute mark, after Byers discusses how Andre feels ostracized because he’s the only Lyon who can’t lay down his own tracks, the moderator, EW‘s Tim Stack, brings up Byers’ great singing voice.
