Rad Rodgers is a 3D platformer inspired by games from the early nineties, such as: Conker the Squirrel on the Nintendo 64, Commander Keen on Ms Dos and Ruff ‘n’ Tumble back on the Commodore Amiga. Those who played Conker the Squirrel will remember it for resembling a cute, kid friendly platformer that was actually full of adult humour and foul language. It both shocked and amused audiences back in the day, and Rad Rodgers aims to rekindle those memories and feelings. Players who want a more kid friendly experience can turn off the foul language and blood effects. It is worth noting that since its original 2016 release, Rad Rodgers has been updated with new enemies, new levels, a couple of mini bosses, redesigned puzzles, new unlockables, a leaderboard and a new weapon.
You play as a boy called Rad who prefers playing video games to cleaning his teeth and going to bed.

The Duke Nukem movie is still alive and is finally moving forward, with John Cena remaining the rumored star.
Duke Nukem is headed to the big screen. It’s taken a long time, but there seems to be solid progress on bringing the ultraviolent classic video game character to the big screen.
WWE franchise-face wrestler John Cena – whose stock as a movie star is rising, notably with his appearance in December’s Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee – was reportedly eyed back in January 2018 to star as the lewd, crude, flattop-rocking, heavily-armed exploder of things. While, nearly a year later, that rumor remains, we’ve heard next to nothing about the project ever since. However, as 2018 rounds the finish line, there finally appears to be some movement.

As Abraham in The Walking Dead, Michael Cudlitz's crew cut and sense of humor may have had some viewers thinking of the video game character Duke Nukem, but there's another actor who might be filling the character's combat boots on the big screen: John Cena.
According to EW, John Cena is in talks to play the titular role in a Duke Nukem movie that would be based on 3D Realms' video game franchise of the same name. The movie adaptation is in the works at Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes, with no director or screenwriter currently announced for the project.
Having first appeared in a 1991 side-scroller, the muscular soldier Duke Nukem went from being a mostly silent, serious character to a wisecracking anti-hero who saved Earth with shades, one-liners, and ammo... lots and lots of ammo.
In the original Duke Nukem, the titular character went up against the crazed Dr.

Originally, this space was set to be devoted to coverage of this year’s Midwest Media Expo (M2X), but due to some unforeseen circumstances, it wasn’t meant to be as one of the biggest shows devoted to geek culture in the Detroit area was cancelled at the eleventh hour. Thankfully, NotCon 2017 rose from its ashes and showed those in attendance one hell of a good time.
I’m not going to delve into all the specifics of what transpired, but I’ll say this: To see one of my favorite conventions have the rug pulled out from under it was indeed heartbreaking. The circumstances surrounding it have garnered attention from media both local and abroad, therefore I don’t intend on exploring them any further because I don’t have all the facts in front...

Hot on the heels of a leaked listing back in September, Gearbox Software finally confirmed that Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is indeed real. The remastered version of Epic’s anarchic shooter will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on April 7, 2017.
Completely updated with hi-res textures, remastered audio, smoother framerates and full 4K support for the PS4 Pro and PC, Full Clip Edition is the ultimate version of Bulletstorm. Besides being reworked in order to maximize the power of modern consoles, the port also includes a few new tweaks on the gameplay side.
The biggest addition, and one that has been teased by Gearbox head Randy Pitchford, is that those who pre-order Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will unlock the ability to play as the iconic Duke Nukem. Jon St. John has returned to record brand new dialogue, and the new script will be integrated seamlessly into the original campaign.

Late last week, news broke that gaming’s most notable meathead, Duke Nukem, was possibly making his grand return. After a week of anticipation, we finally got our answer, as The Duke is indeed returning, although not in the way some expected.
Rather than attempt a new entry in the franchise, Gearbox Publishing has instead announced Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary Edition World Tour. The re-release of the classic 1996 shooter will hit Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC next month.
Originally developed by 3D Realms, Duke Nukem 3D has the titular hero defend Earth from an alien invasion. In between trips to the strip club, our hero kicks and shoots his way through an army of extraterrestrials and mutated Pig Cops. The title’s over-the-top violence and controversial humor played well upon release, but has deteriorated over the years, as evidenced by the less than stellar reception to Duke Nukem Forever.

#5. Aliens: Colonial Marines
Developer: Gearbox Software / Nerve Software / TimeGate Studios
Release Date: February 12, 2013
Platform(s): PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
The Alien movie franchise has inspired many video games over the years, but nothing to really write home about. In spite of that however, the thought of an Alien game still titillates the hopes of many simply based on the deep love for the movie franchise. Enter Aliens: Colonial Marines, announced in 2008 with Gearbox Software at the helm. Gearbox, then known as a company who primarily ported console games to the Windows platform, gained great praise in 2009 for their new original game titled Borderlands. With Gearbox’s recent success, the hype train left the station, and it ended up hitting max speed when Colonial Marines made its appearance at E3 2011. The trailer shown for the game looked fantastic: it was incredibly atmospheric, graphically stunning, and felt like a believable part of the Alien universe.

Fact: It was impossible to be a PC gamer in the '90s and not be intimately familiar with the voice of the alien-hating, stripper-loving Duke Nukem. But what if we lived in an alternate world where Duke's voice wasn't quite so gruff and grimy? What if we lived in a world where lines like, "Half man, half animal, all dead," "I'm an equal opportunity ass-kicker," and "So many babes, so little time" were brought to life by the dulcet tones of the man with the cough syrup voice, Morgan Freeman? Well, let's just find out. Warning, very Nsfw language is found in both the below videos: Not a bad Morgan Freeman impersonation, right? Of course, the real Duke Nukem was voiced by Jon St. John, who is no stranger to the gaming...

I’m sure you’ve heard about Fifty Shades of Gray by now. The book is an international bestseller and just topped 50 million copies sold, further proof that reading alone isn’t a sign that someone is an intellectual.
Now, before you ask, “But what does this have to do with video games, Chaz?”, calm down and think for a moment. Have I ever lead you wrong? No, that one time in Guam doesn’t count.
Well, last weekend at ConnectiCon 2012, the guys at Team Four Star had voice actor Jon St. John read a few passages for us as Duke Nukem. The only problem is that I don’t know if I find the results to be more hilarious or horrifying.
I’m going to go ahead and call this one Not Safe For Work.
Check it out below.

Sega and High Voltage Software have taken another shot at the Nintendo Wii market with Conduit 2. Is this sequel worth the buy and does it improve on its predecessor? Conduit 2 picks up where the first one left off as you (Michael Ford) chasing after the antagonist John Adams. The story is pretty cliché and is pretty easy to follow. Bad guy wants to get stronger, you have to stop him. Aside from the straight forward story, there are some nice cut scenes that set the tones for your environments and encounters. However, the simplicity of the plot lines isn’t a big kill for the game because it lets the game fly on the action. There is literally a fight behind practically every door and turn. Conduit 2 also sports a pretty nice voice acting cast. Michael Ford is now voiced by Jon St. John (Duke Nukem Forever, World Of Warcraft...

In 2008, the new European developer Recoil Games was creating an ambitious first-person shooter called "Earth No More." The team was large and the product was larger. In 2009, the financial crisis struck, and the project was postponed indefinitely. Yesterday, we met with a smaller, but equally hopeful Recoil team to discuss their new game, "Rochard," a downloadable exclusive for PlayStation Network. What happens when a major studio tightens the belt like this? Can a once traditional developer be indie?
"Rochard" is a tough title to define. Like "Metroid" and "Shadow Complex," the titular hero (voiced by Jon St. John, the throat of Duke Nukem) navigates a 2D plane, blasting enemies, solving puzzles and exploring a sci-fi world.
The pot-bellied, mustachioed engineer has two unique methods for manipulating gravity -- the crux of the game. The first, the G-Lifter, is Rochard's go-to weapon and puzzle solver. With a click, the gun lifts a nearby crate with ease.
