Austin St. John was born on September 17, 1974, in Roswell, New Mexico, to his parents Steve and Sharon Geiger, becoming brother to Stephen. Austin has been practicing martial arts since he was five and now holds a second-degree black belt in Tae-Kwon Do, a first-degree black belt in Judo, and he also practices Shenkito and Kenpo. He has spent a lot of time moving from town to town with his dad, a Marine, and has also dreamed of playing professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox. His best school subject was political science and his worst was mathematics. His dream vehicle is a Harley Davidson Softtail. Austin's favorite food is sushi, and his favorite style of music is rock-and-roll with an ever-growing interest in hip-hop. His favorite super hero is Superman. Besides baseball, his favorite sports are football, soccer, and hiking. His favorite colors are black for cars and black and white for clothes. He also worked on "Austin St. John's Martial Arts Video."

Graduated from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, California.
He is of German, Irish, and Spanish descent.
According to a 2004 contest held by ABC Family, Austin's character Jason Lee Scott was voted as the greatest Red Ranger of all time.
According to a 2007 Red Ranger contest on Toon Disney, Jason was voted the most popular Red Ranger of all.
Speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Italian and Korean.
Spent time saving lives in Washington D.C. and Virginia as a Paramedic on the East Coast.
Was the youngest cast member during his time on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993).
Worked in the Middle East as a medic and worked alongside the United States military in Iraq and Kuwait. He was not, however, actually in the military himself. His father and brother were both Marines.
Was originally supposed to be in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (1995) but due to a contract dispute with Haim Saban he left the show and was later replaced by Steve Cardenas.
