Bruce Springsteen has had a strange relationship with videos. As someone who came into prominence before the MTV era, he’s always seemed to be a bit uneasy in clips and a little embarrassed to be there at all. Plus, as he is very well aware, no video is going to capture the magic that is the Boss as much as a live performance. For “Rocky Ground,” the second single from “Wrecking Ball,” he stays with the black and white motif he used for the album’s first single/clip, “We Take Care of Our Own”: black and white, stark images unified to tell »

Here comes some non-b*tchy diplomacy: The eleventh season of American Idol wound up to be an apples-and-oranges grudge match, and either of the final contestants is a viable contender. For sure. Except here's the thing: If you're not rooting for Jessica Sanchez, you're a screaming ninny in mom jeans, and I hate that you believe you matter. This show is so starved for a female champion of wondrous vocal prowess and stage-stomping finesse that voting otherwise is boring contrarianism. I'm obligated to revisit those other lady contestants who fell like dominoes in previous seasons: Carly Smithson? Allison Iraheta? Crystal Bowersox? Haley Reinhart? They dead, girl. Jessica has the ceiling-piercing wail to reverse the streak, and unfortunately, her opponent Phillip "Maroon 311" Phillips has exactly the skillset to maintain it. He's a fuzzy Xerox of Scotty McCreery who combines Kris Allen's knack for song reinvention and Lee DeWyze's rowring, »

You know the theory that fans only accuse a show of bad writing when things happen that they don't like? Last night's season finale proves that theory wrong, at least as far as Klaine and Brittana fans go.
See, I can imagine a brilliantly written episode full of things all those fans, including me, would have hated. I have no trouble envisioning a phenomenally plotted season finale in which either or both couples break up, or at least suffer huge relationship angst. That episode could have been so well written we'd have all been crying and writhing on the floor and breaking Tumblr with our grief. And it might have made me want to die, but I wouldn't have said it was badly written.
But those things didn't happen. Kurt and Blaine are strongly together, and we didn't get any hint or suggestion that they would be anywhere but still »

“Goodbye”, the Glee season 3 finale airs tonight, and to cap off the build up to the big graduation for members of New Direction team that included the initial tv teaser and an emotional extended clip of the episode. As you probably already know, Gloria Estefan will be appearing in the role of Santana’s mother, and you can see her in several of these pictures in this episode promo image gallery that we have from Fox. Some of the songs you will hear in the finale include work from the Beatles, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, and Lea Michele will perform “Roots Before Branches” by Room for Two.
No worries though Glee fans. Season 4 of Fox’s hit show already has steam behind it, already announcing some guest stars in to look forward to in Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson, and another musical tribute episode for Britney Spears.

Jimmy Fallon appeared on the opposite end of the NBC programming schedule today with Matt Lauer on Today, in an in-studio interview where he talked about everything from getting President Obama to "Slow Jam the News" with him to somehow convincing Bruce Springsteen to perform a cover of Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair." And he made some news on the President Obama interview-- the whole thing was the White House's idea. »

Glee: Listen to the Songs from the Season 3 Finale "Graduation"
The Glee season 3 finale will be airing this week and, with it, comes graduation.
A lot of the Glee cast acknowledges the bittersweet sadness that came with filming the finale, which marks the last time for New Directions all together in the choir room.
Recently, Ryan Murphy addressed the concern of what would happen to the graduating characters in season 4. According to Vulture, "We had a meeting, and you know we've become like a family, and I said to them, 'Anybody who wants to stay on the show will stay on the show,'" he said. "They're all coming back. Anyone who is a regular is coming back. Everyone said yes." That doesn't necessarily mean that all of the characters will be back for the entire season, however. There's no concrete plan yet how long they will last on »

With his roadshow for The Devil's Carnival in the spotlight, we'd almost forgotten about Darren Bousman's The Barrens, but Voltage Pictures is in Cannes with it and has released a new poster for the film about a man who becomes convinced his family is being stalked by the Jersey Devil.
Fansite All Stephen Moyer (the "True Blood" star plays the lead in The Barrens) tracked down the poster for the flick, which co-stars Mia Kirshner ("The Vampire Diaries", 388 Arletta Avenue, The Black Dahlia), Erik Knudsen (Scream 4, Saw II), J Larose (Insidious, Saw III), Allie MacDonald (House at the End of the Street), Max Topplin (Dead Before Dawn 3D, "Fringe") and Peter DaCunha.
The legend of The Jersey Devil has been passed along for hundreds of years as the creature has risen from obscurity to take its place alongside the Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot, and the Chupacabra. The »

-- Like the King of Pop or the Queen of Soul, Donna Summer was bestowed a title fitting of musical royalty – the Queen of Disco.
Yet unlike Michael Jackson or Aretha Franklin, it was a designation she wasn't comfortable embracing.
"I grew up on rock `n' roll," Summer once said when explaining her reluctance to claim the title.
Indeed, as disco boomed then crashed in a single decade in the 1970s, Summer, the beautiful voice and face of the genre with pulsating hits like "I Feel Love," "Love to Love You Baby" and "Last Dance," would continue to make hits incorporating the rock roots she so loved. One of her biggest hits, "She Works Hard for the Money," came in the early 1980s and relied on a smoldering guitar solo as well as Summer's booming voice.
Yet it was with her disco anthems that she would have the most impact in music, »

After weeks of competition, only two finalists remain on American Idol. Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet all sung their hearts out last night with a margin of error that was smaller than ever. No one did a bad job, but not every performance was Phillip doing "We've Got Tonight," either. Steven Tyler helpfully predicted last night that both Jessica and Joshua would win (and that Phillip could be a "new-age Boss," as in Bruce Springsteen), and the judges liked most everything to the nth degree, except for Jessica's take on "I'll Be There," which was "just Ok" to Randy Jackson. And was Jimmy Iovine, who never hesitates to diss a song choice, still »

Much of Wednesday's American Idol's performance episode was filled with footage of the top three - Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips - on their hometown visits. It was touching footage of these young performers at home feeling like superstars. But who's going to cash in their Idol ticket for a chance at super-stardom? They all have potential and they all sang three songs each on Wednesday during three rounds of competition. Song choice was selected by the judges, followed by the contestants, followed by mentor and vocal coach Jimmy Iovine. Here's how it went down … Photos: American Idol »

Glee Season Finale Sneak Peek & Photos: The End of an Era
In a fitting send-off for the third season of Glee, New Directions won Nationals in this week's penultimate episode. Next week marks the season finale and everyone seems to know that this is the end of an era.
With a group of seniors graduating from McKinley High, we have to wonder which characters will be leaving the show for good. Based on some preliminary spoilers for season 4, we also know that the graduating seniors who will be sticking around for next season will be heading to New York and will continue to have their stories featured on the show. But the finale marks the last time that this group will be singing together in the choir room, prompting quite a few of the actors on the show to shed a few tears.
In next week's finale, members of New »

Next weekend, The Bamboozle festival will return to the city that started it all: Asbury Park, NJ. The famed beach town that launched the careers of Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi will welcome the festival, celebrating its 10th year of existence, back with open arms and a big coup-Bon Jovi will headline the three-day lineup, which includes Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance (in place of Blink 182, who pulled off the tour due to drummer Travis Barker’s tonsil surgery), Incubus, The Gaslight Anthem, Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, Jersey Shore reality star, DJ Pauly D and comedian Andrew Dice Clay.

In 1970, the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath released a song called Iron Man.
And although it was not inspired in any way by the Marvel Comics armour-clad superhero, it was an obvious choice for the soundtrack of the 2008 movie starring Robert Downey Jr and can be heard over the closing credits.
Taking the connection even further, Downey Jr can now be seen wearing a Black Sabbath T-shirt (see below) in a scene in the new team-up movie Avengers Assemble.
With all those references, it's no surprise that Ultimate Classic Rock has decided to recast Marvel's superhero ensemble with rockers. So who did they pick?
Ted Nugent has been named the new bow-and-arrow master Hawkeye and Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott the perfect choice for donning the eye-patch and leather coat of Nick Fury.

It was only a matter of time: Jimmy Fallon will release a new album full of the parodies he and such guests as Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews, and Bruce Springsteen have made famous on NBC's “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Out June 12, “Blow Your Pants Off” features no stand-up routines, just Fallon's own impressions on such tunes as “Tebowie” and “Bob Dylan Sings ‘Charles in Charge’,” as well as viral hits like his and Timberlake’s “History of Rap,” and “Balls In Your Mouth” featuring Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, according to Rolling Stone. Fallon’s only previous album was 2002’s “The Bathroom »

Jimmy Fallon is getting by with quite a little bit of help from his friends on his upcoming comedy album "Blow Your Pants Off." And as it turns out, he has some pretty influential people among his friends. Paul McCartney, Eddie Vedder, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen and Stephen Colbert are among the big names that team with Fallon on the album, which goes on sale June 12 and culls much of its material from skits on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon."
