Last week, we heard that NBC had pulled its brand new comedy, Best Friends Forever, from the schedule after four episodes, and the two remaining installments would possibly air this summer. We don’t normally comment so much on the fate of fledgling network comedies, but we’re making an exception now because A) Giant Disclaimer: One of the show’s writers is our own Kate Spencer’s husband Anthony King, so nepotism blablabla; B) it’s really f-ing refreshing to see a comedy about grown-up women (co-creators and stars Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair) being really supportive friends, not backstabbing bitches; C) we love the fact that Fred Savage is executive-producing a sitcom; and D) it’s funny as hell. We’re not the only ones who think so just because we’re very nice co-workers. The Washington Post alerted us to an online petition right now, signed »

On New Girl, Lamorne Morris’ Winston is a pretty smooth guy, current status as a “manny” notwithstanding. Which is why we were surprised to learn that in real life, the actor has zero sense of style and a rather weird sense of what’s sexy, at least according to him. He showed up on the red carpet of the NewNowNext Awards looking laid-back and handsome in a lavender shirt, light-gray blazer with white piping and black jeans, but took no credit for his outfit when he spoke to our own Kate Spencer.
“I cannot dress myself,” he admitted. “If it were up to me, I would be wearing a diaper and a tank top. Maybe a Mr. T gold chain. Maybe some brass knuckles. Maybe a tattoo on my face. I don’t know. I am the worst dresser in the world. Maybe a diamond-studded condom. »

Only at the NewNowNext Awards red carpet would a blond-streaked pompadour and giant wedge boots be considered business casual. But seeing as how he’s sharing the carpet with the fashion courageousness of Eden Wood and RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Sharon Needles and Latrice Royale (in addition to so many over-the-top others), Adam Lambert knows that the eyeliner and heels he’s sporting are almost downright conservative. “In honor of all the queens here, I’m wearing a pump. I got a wedge happening,” the singer explained, showing off a hot high-zippered boot. “Compared to all these drag queens, I look normal.” Normal, fabulous in a different way, call it whatever you want Adam. The point is everyone on the red carpet was rocking “a lot of hair.” And isn’t that what brings us all together in the end?

We’re still enjoying this little breather in between awards season madness and summer blockbusters, but our own Kate Spencer already has the MTV Movie Awards on her mind — specifically, the Best Kiss Golden Popcorn, which has been dominated by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson for three years now. When she got a minute with Hunger Games cutie Josh Hutcherson at the NewNowNext Awards, she gave him the toughest of tough questions: Will Katniss and Peeta’s cave kiss rival any of Bella and Edward’s from Breaking Dawn – Part 1?
“I don’t know, they had a great kiss,” he admitted. “Theirs was so passionate. Ours was like, I was on my deathbed, wasn’t very sexy. I don’t know, we’ll see. Maybe. I’d be so lucky. One can only hope.”
We applaud his honesty — and wonder whether the kisses in »

Music Videos – Free Music Videos Hey guys – Kate Spencer here. I’m the West Coast Correspondent for VH1 News which is a fancy way of saying I interview celebrities on red carpets a lot. It’s pretty fun, especially when you get to talk to people you crushed on when you were 19 and wearing giant skater pants on a daily basis. Enter Chris Klein, he of American Pie and Election and dating Katie Holmes fame. Turns out the former apple of my late 90s eye is now someone who needs to wipe his feet of before he gets in bed every night.Kinda makes me fall in love all over again! I discovered this magical tidbit while subjecting Chris to my “speed round” questions on the American Reunion red carpet, and he was nice enough to play along. In just two minutes you can learn everyone you need to know »

After a long nine years since the last theatrical installment (sorry, we’re not counting those four revered direct-to-dvd masterpieces), American Reunion finally hits theaters today. From what we’ve heard, the latest chapter of the American Pie franchise is gonna be the wildest yet! Although some of the gang is married with kids, it doesn’t mean they’ve mellowed with age. VH1 News hit up the L.A. premiere and managed to catch up with Chris Klein, who plays lax-bro incarnate Chris “Oz” Ostreicher in the series and offered this comparison to the original: “It’s more fun because the jokes are a little crazier, and I think us as a cast is a little bit crazier,” he told our very own Kate Spencer. “I don’t think anybody is any more mature or responsible than we were when we were 18 and 19 years old.” Phew, that’s a relief! »

Paul Feig, creator of Freaks and Geeks and director of Bridesmaids, is a Howard Stern Show superfan. And I, Kate Spencer, creator of a really good bowl of cereal that I just had for lunch, am a Paul Feig and Howard Stern Show superfan. So naturally, when I interviewed Paul at the People’s Choice Awards this month, the first thing I blurted out was: “I want you to be a guest on Howard Stern!”
I’m guessing this is the first time Feig’s ever encountered a reporter trying to match-make him with a radio show, and his response was priceless. “I wanna be on there!” he exclaimed, as Wendi Mclendon-Covey looked on with a smile. “Please Howard, have me as a guest. I won’t be a bad guest.” Paul’s been a fan of the show for over thirty years, starting »
