Preview of 'House M.D.' 5.04: Birthmarks

Promotional video of "House M.D." next episode has been released. Focusing on the time when House finds out that his father has passed away, the footage shows glimpses on how his diagnostic team and friends try to make reluctant House coming to his grieving mother's aid and console her. Joined by Wilson, House finally gets in the car and embarks on a journey home without losing his sarcastic side at all.

Aside from dealing with his father's death, in the fourth episode of the fifth season called "Birthmarks", House will be faced with another mysterious case. Away from his team because he has to attend his father funeral, he must help his team on making the differential diagnosis on a young Chinese woman who collapsed while searching for her birth parents. This episode will not be aired until October 14.

Spencer Convinced He Could Be A Real Doctor

Playing a doctor on TV show House has convinced actor Jesse Spencer he could take up the profession for real.

The Australian actor also comes from a family of doctors - he has two surgeon brothers and a medical student sister.

But he admits his amateur medical antics frustrates his real doctor during surgery visits.

Spencer tells the New York Post, "I kind of like the blood, guts and gore.

"I love it when they draw my blood. I think I know what I'm talking about, so I'll try to offer my own opinion. But my doctors just say, 'Uh, no come on Jesse, you're an actor.'"

Spencer Moves On From Morrison

House star Jesse Spencer has moved on from co-star and former fiancee Jennifer Morrison - by showing off his new paramour at an Emmy awards after-party.

The Aussie actor attended the 60th Annual Emmys on Sunday with British singer Louise Griffiths and was keen to pose with the beauty at the red carpet event.

The new romance, which Spencer says started "a couple of months" ago, follows his split from fellow House star Morrison last year.

Griffiths tells People.com, "We met through mutual friends out in L.A. at the Green Door (bar)."

After calling off their engagement last year, House costars Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison have moved on – with other celebrities. On Sunday, Spencer hit an Emmys after-party with British singer-actress Louise Griffiths. "We met through mutual friends out in L.A. at the Green Door [lounge]," Griffiths said at the Entertainment Tonight Party sponsored by People. Australian Spencer tells People that they've been dating for "a couple of months." Spencer, 29, and Griffiths, 30, also stepped out at an L.A. cocktail party two weeks ago. "He was proudly introducing her around and making sure she was taken care of," says a guest.

Spencer + Morrison Kissing On Camera

Former real-life couple Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison had to pucker up for the cameras on the set of TV series House when their characters fell in love again.

The ex-couple admits their upcoming kissing scenes in the medical drama were more than a little awkward.

And Morrison admits that the co-stars agreed not to actually lock lips until the kissing scene itself.

She says, "Out of respect, I saved it for the take."

But Aussie star Spencer admits the former couple's relationship woes helped in the tense scenes: "There's a different intensity now, but I think it really works."

DVD Review: House - The Complete Fourth Season

Going back and reading my review of the second season of "House" I am surprised at how generic and boring I was. I have a far different recollection of that season than what I wrote down. Sure, the first season of "House" hit me like a ton of bricks. I loved it and I recommended it to anyone that hadn't watched it yet. The sarcastic nature of Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) was right up my alley and the detective/medical aspect of the show was highly entertaining. However, the second season played the sarcastic angle way too hard and I was beginning to think it was a one trick pony with an out of control ego. Basically I was getting the impression the writers of the show thought they were too clever for their own good. Reading my second season review you would think I had the season mounted on

Milo Plays Snapper To Capture Hayden's Big Gig

Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia turned pit photographer on Saturday to capture girlfriend Hayden Panettiere's latest allstar gig.

The actor urged event snappers to concentrate on his teenage girlfriend and not him as he tried to get shots of Panettiere's concert with Band From TV.

One fellow snapper tells WENN, "He told us, `I'm just one of you guys tonight.'"

The actress performed with Heroes co-stars Greg Grunberg and Adrian Pasdar, James Denton and House castmates Jesse Spencer and Hugh Laurie, who all make up Band From TV.

Denton's Desperate Housewives co-star Teri Hatcher also sang with the band at the outdoor concert at the Autry National Center of The American West.

Hatcher Gets Another Gig

The singing skills Teri Hatcher displayed during May's American Idol Idol Gives Back telethon have earned her another gig with Desperate Housewives' co-star James Denton and his band.

Hatcher sang Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats while fronting all-star group Band From TV, which features House stars Hugh Laurie and Jesse Spencer, and now the group has invited her back for an encore.

The actress will perform with the band during an Orange County Flyers baseball match this weekend. Denton co-owns the team.
