10 Fun Facts From My Trip To WWE WrestleMania 29

19 March 2016 3:04 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE.com

WrestleMania returning to the New York City area was a dream come true for me, since it combined my favourite annual wrestling event with the city I love the most.

Early reports confirmed that The Rock would return for another match and this would also be Brock Lesnar’s first ‘Mania back since 2004 when the event was last held in the NY area. I was sold and promptly booked my flights.

After telling Billy Gunn to F**ck off and running up a $400 bar tab on someone else’s credit card, my friend John decided not to come back to WrestleMania. So, me and my other, more responsible buddies set off to the Big Apple for a week of wrestling festivities culminating at MetLife Stadium for what we hoped would be a great show.

In 2013, I decided to steer clear of the convention scene and enjoy a little more of New York. »

15 Future WWE Hall Of Fame Headliners

6 March 2016 1:13 PM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE.com

The WWE Hall Of Fame began as a tribute to Andre The Giant just weeks after his passing in 1993 and has grown to become a fairly-respected institution recognizing all of professional wrestling’s greatest contributors. A few of those inductees are no doubt, surefire, “first ballot” (if the WWE had a voting process and ballots to go along with it) Hall Of Famers.

Even fewer of those contributors are marquee names that are capable of headlining the ceremony, drawing thousands of ticket sales. After all, the Hall Of Fame is more of a show now than it ever has been before and, like every other event that WWE puts on throughout the year, the final act must be worth the wait.

Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and The Ultimate Warrior are examples of those prestigious contributors that have become headlining Hall Of Famers, but as the years go by, »

10 Things I Hate About Dolph Ziggler

4 March 2016 5:32 AM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE

If you’re still a Dolph Ziggler fan in 2016, you’ve just sat through a year of storylines involving him being an actual home-wrecking bastard while dressed like Kip Winger’s wardrobe from 1984 threw up on him, and you still think he’s a babyface.

If you’re still a Dolph Ziggler fan in 2016, you’ve become used to disappointment, to perusing online wrestling fora for the dirt on why this latest push has been derailed, or the latest justification for why he’s being ‘buried’.

If you’re still a Dolph Ziggler fan in 2016, you’re a glutton for punishment – rather like the man himself – but I feel for you. I’ve been there. Eight years on from Nick Nemeth’s debut in the WWE under that name, there’s a lot wrong with Dolph Ziggler.

In many – well, ten – ways, I might actually hate Dolph Ziggler (kind of).

Here’s why… »
