New TV Season Breakdown: CBS

18 May 2012 4:51 AM, PDT | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the fourth announced. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on CBS.

With CBS leading in viewers by the widest margin of any network in 23 years, the network has little need to refresh its line-up this year - especially with last season's successes like "2 Broke Girls" and "Persons of Interest" adding to a solid run of hits in recent years.

Yet it's not resting on its laurels, ordering six new shows and shifting four existing shows around the schedule to shore up its weak points, in the process teaming its two biggest comedies "Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men" on the one night.

Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen include cop drama "The Widow Detective", various comedies about twenty »

Episode Recap: The Mentalist - 4.14: "At First Blush"

10 February 2012 12:53 PM, PST | PopStar | See recent PopStar news »

Stepping away from the drama of Red John – which isn't always a good thing, in my opinion – we're back to case-of-the-week, wherein a wine mogul accused of killing her lover piques Jane's( Simon Baker) interest. And as usual, the B-plot – in this case, Cho's (Tim Kang) plucky little hooker friend Summer (Samaire Armstong) getting a little too daring during an undercover op ending with interesting results – ends up being the more compelling storyline. It starts out simply enough. Local winery owner Eve Mulberry (Bonnie Somerville) is accused of killing her dance instructor lover. After taking a look at her on the courthouse steps, and asking her a couple of questions aimed at reading her expressions, Jane decides she's innocent. And since Jane can't ignore a new puzzle or challenge, he waylays Lisbon (Robin Tunney) and the team into proving Eve's innocence. Problem is, the trial is already underway and the jury is out. »
