The Flash: A New Speedster Joins In Next Week's Episode

24 February 2017 9:49 AM, PST | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

When we last saw The Flash, in "Attack on Gorilla City," he was manipulated into defeating Solovar by Gorilla Grodd, so that Grodd could become the ruler of the gorillas of Earth-2. The Flash, using a technique he learned from the Reverse-Flash was successful and it gave Grodd the leadership he needed to assume the role. This was a rescue mission, and Barry was able to escape back to Earth-1 with Grodd's prisoners in tow.

This seemed to be a happy ending for all, as Grodd sat on his throne looking much more like his comic counterpart, in full armor, until the camera panned down and we see that he has captured Gypsy, the Earth-19 counterpart of Earth-1's Vibe (Cisco). Grodd is planning to now use her to go back to Earth-1 to enact revenge, as she has the ability to create interdimensional portals, and we will have to »

In this week’s episode of The Flash, Barry Allen and company paid a visit to Earth-2 in order to rescue Harrison Wells from Gorilla Grodd. Now that that’s done, the psychic gorilla looks set to return to Central City with an army by his side to take over his former home and destroy the Scarlet Speedster.

Clearly unable to take him down alone, the Fastest Man Alive will need all the help he can get, hence why he’s enlisted the likes of Kid-Flash, Jesse Quick, Vibe, and Earth-19 hero Gypsy, who will be bringing some unexpected help along with her in the form of the Accelerated Man.

May Grodd Have Mercy On The Scarlet Speedster On New Poster For The Flash

22 February 2017 5:13 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Last night’s episode of The Flash featured the Fastest Man Alive and his friends paying a visit to Earth-2 to rescue Harrison Wells from Solovar and his ape army. However, now that he’s been dealt with, Gorilla Grodd is hellbent on revenge and looking to invade his old home on Earth-1.

This puts Central City in serious jeopardy, and the Flash is going to need to call in all the help he can if he hopes to stop the psychic gorilla from lording over his home. That’s something which is evident from the promo above, and now a poster has been released which puts the spotlight squarely on the clash between the Scarlet Speedster and one of his most iconic villains.

‘The Flash’ Exclusive Clip: Solovar Challenges Barry

21 February 2017 12:33 PM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

In this week’s episode of “The Flash,” the team — including Barry (Grant Gustin), Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), and Julian (Tom Felton) — head to Earth-2 to rescue Harry Wells (Tom Cavanagh) from Gorilla City.

Eventually, they learn that Grodd (David Sobolov) lured them to the city to help him stop its leader, Solovar (Keith David), who has plans to invade Earth-1. In an exclusive clip of Tuesday night’s episode, it seems their plan doesn’t go off without a hitch.

In the clip, the team has been put in cages and are confronted by Grodd and Solovar.

“Why are you here?,” Solovar asks. “To study us like animals? Make us your pets?”

Despite Flash’s insistence that they accidentally wandered into the city, Solovar isn’t convinced. He psychically takes control of Cisco and challenges the Flash through him.

“My brethren have seen you; your fate is sealed,” he »

Gorillas Attack In These Awesome Images From The Next Episode Of The Flash

We’ve already seen one batch of official images from the next episode of The Flash, but The CW has now released six additional photos focusing on Gorilla Grodd and Solovar. The former has made several appearances in the series to date, but this looks set to be his most significant appearance yet, hence why the network is pulling out all the stops to promote it.

Set to take place over two weeks, the event promises to be one of the biggest stories the show has ever told, and it’s clear that a lot of money has been spent here to bring these fully CG characters to life. The opening chapter will take place on Earth-2, but it’s thought that the community of intelligent gorillas will then attempt to invade Earth-1’s Central City.

The Flash Prepares To Enter Gorilla City In Dynamic New Poster

15 February 2017 12:22 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

After taking a break in observance of Valentine’s Day, The Flash looks to come back strong next week as it continues to embrace its comic book heritage with the two-part “Gorilla City” event.

So far, the series has delighted viewers with incredible interpretations of villains such as the Reverse Flash, Zoom and Captain Cold, but when more fantastical baddies like Gorilla Grodd or King Shark are brought to life via CGI, many a fanboy have had reason to cheer. Personally, I think that some things that originate on the page don’t work as well in live-action, but the execution has been pretty good to this point, so I can’t really complain much.

With less than a week to go until “Gorilla City” officially commences, the network has released a cool new poster, something they’re no stranger to doing when promoting the more significant episodes of each DC series to be aired. »

Check Out Some First Look Photos From The Flash’s “Attack On Gorilla City” Episode

At the end of this week’s episode of The Flash, Jesse Quick made a surprise appearance to ask Kid-Flash for help due to the fact that Gorilla Grodd had kidnapped her father – Earth-2’s Harrison Wells – and taken him back to Gorilla City. We can’t say for sure yet how that will play out, but based on the images in the gallery above, the rescue mission doesn’t exactly go as planned.

Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, and Julian all end up behind bars alongside Harry, and chances are that’s because Grodd’s psychic powers have only increased since the last time we saw him. In an interesting twist though, the synopsis for this particular episode of The Flash reveals that the gorilla actually wants Team Flash’s help to stop the ruler of Gorilla City from attacking Earth-1.
