Phase 4 Films is pleased to announce the DVD release of the award-winning horror thriller The Open Door on November 15, 2011. The cast includes Catherine Georges (Obsessed), Sarah Christine Smith (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery), Ryan Doom (“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”) and Daniel Booko (“Hannah Montana”). The Open Door garnered several film festival awards including Best Horror Film (28 Hours Later Film Festival), Audience Choice Award (L.A. Shriekfest Film Festival) and the Silver Screen Award (Nevada Film Festival).

The Open Door with New Unrated DVD Artwork

The DVD artwork for Phase 4 Film's The Open Door has released. This will be an unrated showing, with character Angelica (Catherine Munden) forefront in the graphic. Terror comes from behind every door! The Open Door will release on DVD November 15. This is the first film from director Doc Duhame and those interested in suspenseful graphics can click the poster for a more detailed look. Prepare for thrills in this supernatural horror film, which tells tales of pirate radio stations, the pressures of high school, and pranks gone very wrong. More details on the release are below.

The Open Door Brings Pirate Radio November 15th on DVD

The Open Door completed production in 2008. Later, the film had a positive showing at Shriekfest, where this horror feature won an Audience Award. Now, the film is moving to DVD courtesy of Phase 4 Films. The Open Door tells a tale of a young girl grounded on the night of the "biggest party of...[the] year." She sends out her wish for freedom to a pirate radio station and soon, her dreams are answered. However, events get violent when the supernatural gets involved. This title releases November 15th on DVD in Canada and the Us. More release details below.

A high school girl is fed up with her life and her friends and confides in a mysterious pirate radio station for help. Little does she know her life is about to become a nightmare.

When it comes to the world of horror, there are two kinds of film. The first kind of horror films are the ones that really push the barrier for shocks and will stick in your subconscious like a bad smell in a new car. The other kind of horror films, however, are the b-movie style gore-flicks where the story itself is just as flimsy as the execution. The phrase “so bad, it’s good” often comes to mind if you have a sense of irony.
