Mother of Philip Webster Smith IV and Courtney Smith.
She co-starred with Gene Wilder on the NBC sitcom "Something Wilder" while simultaneously airing on "One Life to Live". However, the sitcom failed after one season.
She won a Daytime Emmy in 1994 for her portrayal of Attorney Nora Hanen Gannon Buchanan. The storyline involved the rape of a college co-ed which her character prosecuted.
