Dimitri Marick is making a comeback to "All My Children." The Online Network announced on Monday that Michael Nader will reprise his role on the June 3 episode. "I got a call from executive producer Ginger Smith who said Prospect Park is relaunching 'All My Children' online. She said, 'We'd love for you to come back.' And I said, 'You want me, you got me.' Being back, is like being home," Nader said in a statement. Apparently, Brooke English (Julia Barr) will offer Dimitri a job as the head of one of Chandler...

In the 40 years since he made his daytime-tv debut, Vincent Irizzary had seen nothing like it — a non-Emmys red carpet event to kick off an evening celebrating soap operas, namely two that had been plucked from the ashes and given life anew.
Irizzary plays David Hayward, a highly duplicitous doctor on All My Children, which like fellow former ABC serial One Life to Live was reborn this week on Hulu and iTunes, via Prospect Park’s The Online Network. The actor calls the dramas’ return, in a new medium, none too small a miracle.

Life was going pretty great for All My Children‘s Brooke, before the big bang.
She’d rescued her main squeeze’s beloved home. She’d been proposed to in grand style, with most of the town looking on. Finally, after decades of playing runner-up to the glamorous Erica Kane, Ms. English was having her moment.
But then Jr stuck his gun out of a secret-in-name-only passageway, and everything went dark – for almost a year-and-a-half.
But now Brooke – and portrayer Julia Barr – are back in an online revival of the beloved daytime drama scheduled to launch this spring. TVLine caught...

The Jeff Probst Show‘s torch has been extinguished.
CBS TV Distribution announced Wednesday that they would not be bringing back the Survivor host’s daytime talker for a second season.
“We believe Jeff is an incredible talent, and that he and his dedicated producing team delivered quality episodes throughout the season,” the studio said in a statement. “Unfortunately, the audience isn’t there to support a second year.”

For his part, Probst admitted to being “super bummed” about the cancellation, yet “extremely proud” of his short-lived series.

Two more soap stars have signed on for the Prospect Park relaunch of "One Life To Live" and "All My Children."
Robin Strasser, who plays "Oltl's" Dorian Lord, took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce her involvement in the online revival.
Earlier this week, "AMC's" Jordi Vilasuso did the same, expressing his enthusiasm for the opportunity to bring the Castillo siblings "back to action" via the social networking site. The former "Guiding Light" vet plays Griffin Castillo, with Lindsay Hartley as his on-screen sister, Cara.
As previously reported, the series are set to begin production in February after The Online Network's Prospect Park struck deals with the soap actors' union SAG-aftra and the Directors Guild of America to allow the shows to move online.
Agnes Nixon, who created "AMC" and "Oltl" will serve as a consultant on both shows, with Jennifer Pepperman taking on executive producing duties on "One Life to Live,...

Soap opera fans rejoice! Prospect Park has announced that long-running soap operas "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" will return with new episodes on the company's The Online Network.
Prospect Park heads Jeff Kwatinetz and Rich Frank announced via press release that production on the two soap operas would resume in February 2013. Agnes Nixon, the creator of both "All My Children" and "One Life to Live," has joined with the production company in the revival and has a consulting agreement.
The confirmation of the soap operas' return -- which has been a possibility since Prospect Park gained the licenses for the shows in 2011 -- hinged on guild agreements, financing and the hiring of a production staff. The new press release makes it clear that all of these particular hurdles are in the past.
There is no word yet about whether or not the soaps' stars will return to the new productions.

Whether or not the proposed All My Children/One Life to Live reboot actually happens, it now has one very important player giving it the thumbs-up: Agnes Nixon, creator of both daytime dramas.
In a statement released Friday night via Facebook and her blog, Nixon said, “We of the One Life to Live and All My Children families are thrilled to bring our beloved viewers new, ongoing stories from Llanview and Pine Valley.”

You know, just once I would like a TV show to have gay characters who don’t want children. It just seems like gays on TV always want kids. I guess it’s a way of telling viewers that gay folks want homes and families just like straight folks and having kids does open up plenty of storytelling for television shows, but for me I’d like to see something different because even without marriage and kids, there are plenty of other compelling stories to be told. I also think it’s very soon for Will and Robbie to be talking about kids since they’ve only been married for a few weeks.
To be honest, I was surprised that Will agreed with Robbie about starting a family. I expected this to be a source of conflict between them. So I’m wondering...

Pepperman also served as a director at both Oltl and CBS’ As The World Turns, where she won an Emmy.

As first reported by our sister site Deadline, Prospect Park, the entertainment production company that sought to keep both of the aforementioned soaps alive online but ultimately had to put a pin in that plan, is again looking to revisit Pine Valley and Llanview.
