Sharon Small was born on January 1, 1967 in Drumchapel, Glasgow, Scotland. She is an actress, known for About a Boy (2002), Dear Frankie (2004) and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries (2001).

Elizabeth George, author of The Inspector Lynley Mysteries books, initially thought Sharon was too pretty to play Sgt. Barbara Havers on the series. She changed her mind when she saw how well Small portrayed the character.
A woman of many talents, Sharon is also a highly skilled soprano, recorder player, and swimmer.
Sharon enrolled in the same drama course at Kirkcaldy College as Ewan McGregor and Dougray Scott.
She is the eldest of five children.
Gave birth to her 1st child, a son Leo Bridges, with her boyfriend Dan Bridge. [2006]
