‘Honest Trailers’ Celebrates 200 Episodes With (Another) Ryan Reynolds Cameo

9 hours ago | | See recent Tubefilter News news »

Since kicking off in February 2012, Honest Trailers has spent more than five years skewering the faulty logic, questionable plotting, and erratic character development of major blockbusters. Now, the Defy Media-produced web series, which lives on the Screen Junkies channel, is celebrating its 200th episode in grand style. It’s latest installment features Ryan Reynolds, who arrives in character as Deadpool to help poke fun at the Marvel film Logan.

Logan, the newest chapter in the X-Men film canon, received universal praise upon its release in March 2017, and most of the movie’s Honest Trailer episode features uncharacteristic praise rather than mockery. In order to give viewers some of the cracks they came for, the Defy Media team called in Reynolds, who also showed up on the Emmy-nominated and Streamy-winning web series last year. As Deadpool, Reynolds is an equal-opportunity offender, dishing out gags aimed at Logan, Screen Junkies, and YouTube. »

John Wick Honest Trailer Goes for the Head Shot

7 February 2017 2:24 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

It's fairly common for the Honest Trailers team to revisit an original movie, the week before a sequel arrives, to get fans ready for the follow-up. This week's Honest Trailer delves into the 2014 cult classic John Wick, just days before the highly-anticipated sequel John Wick 2 hits theaters on February 10. While these Honest Trailers are often heavy on the negativity, this is one of the few Honest Trailers that doesn't tear the movies to shreds, not too much, at least.

The Screen Junkies crew debuted this new video today, which begins with a tagline that is a bit too long, but still hilarious nonetheless: "They stole his car. They killed his dog. Now he's gonna kill 76 people, who worked for the dad of the kid who killed it." For those who still haven't seen the original John Wick yet, it's a rather thorough description of this throwback action movie, with »

'Willy Wonka' Honest Trailer: Michael Bolton Highlights the Classic's Questionable Aspects

23 January 2017 4:28 PM, PST | The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News | See recent The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News news »

If you didn't think you could love the songs from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory more than you already do, you obliviously haven't heard Michael Bolton's take on the classic film.

Honest Trailers snagged Bolton for a recording session over the weekend, fulfilling a dream for Andy Signore, creator of the series (and huge Bolton fan).

"I applaud Michael and his team for doing it, because it is a little weird on paper," Signore tells Heat Vision.

Fortunately, Bolton got the joke, and squeezed in time to make it happen. The Honest Trailers teamup comes as Bolton is on a comedy kick, following »
