Arvind Swami, the Thani Oruvan man, has an array of interesting projects including Bhaskar Oru Rascal, Sathuranga Vettai 2, Vanangamudi, and Naragasooran, which are in various stages of production.

Earlier this evening, Arvind Swami took to Twitter to share that he has completed shooting for Bhaskar Oru Rascal, directed by Siddique, which has Amala Paul as the female lead. He tweeted, "Finished my shooting for #BhaskarOruRascal, (except for one song). This will be a super entertainer!  thanks team, will miss y'all." "I was supposed to play another role", Premam actor!

Actor Soubin Shahir who started his career by assisting director Siddique in the 2003 Mammootty movie Chronic Bachelor, is known for his role in the Mega hit film Premam. He plays the Pt sir who accompanies Vinay Fortt's character (Vimal sir) in the film.

 

Recently, Soubin revealed that he was actually supposed to play another character in the film, one that required him to do teaching scenes. Happy news for Theri baby fans!

Director Siddique is back to Kollywood with the Tamil remake of his Malayalam directorial, Bhaskar the Rascal, which had Mammootty and Nayanthara in lead roles.

 

The Tamil remake will have Arvind Swami and Amala Paul playing the lead roles, with 'Theri' fame baby Nainika playing the couple's daughter. The film has started rolling from today (3rd April) with a formal pooja at Cochin, Kerala. The Tamil version has been titled as 'Baskar Oru Rascal'.

For all those, who have been waiting to know about the little cutie Nainika's next film, this might be a happy piece of information.

Official: Theri baby's next with Arvind Swami and Amala Paul!

We had earlier reported that Arvind Swami had been signed to play the male lead in the Tamil remake of Bhaskar the Rascal, the Siddique directorial.

 

The Tamil version too will be directed by Siddique, whose previous venture in K-town was Vijay's Kaavalan. There were so many speculations regarding the film's heroine, but now the official announcement is out.

This remake will have Amala Paul as the female lead, who took to Twitter to share this information. She tweeted, "Yes a beautiful project enroute with a phenomenal duo @thearvindswami #directorSiddique.Thanku guys for all the love #Godspeed #highspirits....

Big advantage for Bairavaa now

The cinema strike has been called off by the Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation after the intervention by Dileep, Antony Perumbavur and other prominent people in the Malayalam film industry.

Dileep said that they have decided to form a new association that combines the interest of producers, distributors and theater owners. Director Siddique said that the leadership of Exhibitors Federation has a hidden agenda that will not help Malayalam cinema's progress. He said that last year when the film King Liar starring Dileep was released, the exhibitors federation had called for a strike on the 6th day for no reason.

Odious! All Christmas releases postponed!

The meetings and discussions to workout the differences between the Kerala Film Producer's Association and the Exhibitors Federation concluded without arriving at an agreement. The Producer's Association refused to accept the Exhibitor's demand for 50% share of theater revenue.

Thus, this Christmas season will be a dry one for Malayalam film lovers as the release of four major movies will be postponed. The movies are Mohanlal's 'Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol', Dulquer Salmaan-Sathyan Anthikad team's 'Jomonte Suvisheshangal', Prithviraj's 'Ezra' and Jayasurya-Siddique team's 'Fukri'. Though everyone's rushing to make a remake, Siddique, the director of the Blockbuster hit Bodyguard, has no plans of attempting a remake next. "My next film boasts of a fresh subject," he informs me. In fact, Siddique had signed his next Hindi film much before Bodyguard hit the screens last year. "It will be produced by Shyam Bajaj and Narendra Bajaj," he states, "We have locked the script. The casting should be finalized this week." Post Bodyguard, Siddique was flooded with film offers. "I have decided to put on hold the Tamil and Malayalam assignments that I was planning to make after Bodyguard. Everyone feels I need to follow up with a Hindi film, after delivering a Blockbuster hit. Else, people tend to forget your achievements if there's a long gap," he says. Will his new film star Salman Khan yet again? "I would love to work with him again and again and again.

Salman, Shahrukh Khan named most profitable actors

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have been named the most profitable actors of the Hindi film industry in India and abroad respectively by Etc Bollywood Business Awards.Actress Kareena Kapoor, who featured in Bodyguard and Ra.One in 2011 opposite the two actors, has been titled the most profitable actor in the female category."Receiving an award wherein you are being adjudged considering the economic quotient as a cornerstone for mapping the success gives you a sense of pride. Another Gautham Menon Film in Hindi – Ek Deewana Tha
