The Great Gatsby (12A)
No one's disputing that Luhrmann can put on a show, but can he tell a story? In a way, F Scott Fitzgerald's 1920s parable is a perfect fit: a study of surfaces and seduction and the hollowness of the wealthy. The hedonism and vulgarity are ravishing to behold and the hand-tinted-photo aesthetic is gorgeous. When the fireworks die down, however, that artificiality works against the romantic tragedy, and the characters are too flat to really stir any great emotions. Maybe that's the point.

Star Trek Into Darkness (12A)
Those cinemagoers won over by Abrams's first Star Trek movie (even if they can barely remember it now) won't be disappointed with this finely tuned follow-up, which deftly balances action crises, sci-fi repartee and the ongoing Kirk/Spock bromance, but adds enough surprises to keep things interesting, largely by way of Cumberbatch's shifty supervillain.
Another distinctive, beguiling southern parable from Nichols, this time tracking the friendship between two boys and the mysterious fugitive they find down by the river. It's like a mix of Stand By Me, Night Of The Hunter and Terrence Malick. »

Jimmy was busy with his own production house and film projects in Punjab. His Punjabi film ‘Rangeelay’ is about to release. Its official promo trailer has just released and according to the buzz, the feedbacks are good so far. The film ‘Rangeelay’ is produced by Eros Inte »
The trained dancer had to do a jig for the 'Tibetan yak dance' ad for aerated drink brand Coke. He is seen dancing with the 'yak' and offering a bottle of Coke to it.
If sources are to be believed, the ad makers insisted on not having any choreographers on set. When Varun learned that he just has to be himself and dance unrehearsed to make it look natural, he was all for it.
It's not my birthday, clarifies Jimmy

We fared a tad better with the press room on the big day of the Toifa Awards Ceremony, but the starlets and heroes did need the whole day to shop and get all glammed up. They told us about their upcoming projects, their favourite sight-seeing destinations, and their love of movies.

BC Place was flooded with gold, spangles, and legions of fans dressed in their finest saris and suits to celebrate the inaugural Times of India Film Awards. The fans braved the rain and cold to get a glimpse of the Bollywood royalty that managed to come on time to grace the red carpet.
Aishwariya and Abhishek Bachchan caused a frenzy, when they walked down the carpet, stopping to sign autographs and chat with hosts Chunky Pandey and Shreyas Talpade. Aishwariya Rai Bachchan looked resplendent in a mint-green Sabyasachi anarkali suit and Abhishek in a navy blue outfit, they both looked so chic and classy as they waved to their adoring fans. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan decided to match with their red outfits, though Shah Rukh’s velvety maroon jacket gave him a bit of a Hugh Hefner look. Mumbai, April 4: Director Tigmanshu Dhulia recently stated that the sequel “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns” has not been made keeping in mind the success ratio of the first part. However, Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan are the newest additions in the film. Talking about the characters, Tigmanshu says the characters are not totally cruel or bad but they are vicious and also dubious! Saheb has become more vicious as he has lost his legs and. »

Now it is a confirmed news. ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster returns’ is a big hit at the box office. The romantic thriller stars Irrfan Khan, Jimmy Shergill, Mahie Gill and Soha Ali Khan in the lead roles. The story of the sequel picks up from where it left in the 2011 film ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster’. It seems the trend of producing sequels is returning good dividend. A sequel already creates the awareness among the movie goers about what to expect from a film and the positive impact of the predecessor rubs off on the sequel as well. The experts didn’t expect ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster returns’ to do very well at the box office. It was »

This is the much awaited sequel to the much acclaimed ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’ that came out some time ago. Timangshu Dhulia has once again delved deep into the mysterious characters, who sometimes come to us in a bizarre sort of a way. Each of them is torn between their real life and the life which they actually want to lead. The movie binds us with a passion that rises from within oneself and poisons everybody with its self destructive self. The characters are all abandoned by people around them and the only avenue of escape is to enter the loopy world of politics. The film stars Jimmy Shergill as Saheb, Mahi Gill as Biwi »
Although I liked Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster moderately I felt it could have been better. In the sequel, Tigmanshu Dhulia fixes all that needed to be fixed the first time round and comes out with a cracker of a film which is bigger and better, much better.
Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns starts where the prequel ended. Saheb/Aditya (Jimmy Sheirgill) is crippled but does not let his disability stop him from ruling his ‘praja’ with an iron hand. Biwi/Madhavi (Mahie Gill) is as alcoholic and brazen as ever, strongly resenting still being a pawn of Saheb’s despite becoming the Mla of her district. Enter the Gangster/Indrajit (Irrfan Khan) who is an ex-royal and dreams of earning back the lost glory which was snatched away a few generations ago by Saheb’s family. That Saheb has set his heart on marrying princess Ranjana (Soha Ali Khan), Indrajit’s lady love, »

Film: "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns"; Cast: Irrfan, Mahie Gill, Jimmy Sheirgill, Soha Ali Khan and Raj Babbar; Director: Tigmanshu Dhulia; Rating: **** - vivid, vibrant, savagely tragic with gutsy performances.
In what could be regarded as a sequence of subliminal comic relief, a little-known actor Rajeev Gupta gives this film, suffused in powerhouse performances, its best performance as a slimy politician caught watching porn on his laptop in his office by a goon masquerading as a journalist.
The sequence is hilarious and at the same time sobering. While the self-important buffoonish politician's predicament raises laughter,. »

Jimmy Shergil has truly proved his mettle and talent in his recent movie, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns. When it was announced that of all actors, Jimmy Shergill will do the role of the Saheb, people were quite apprehensive, as they are always used to seeing Jimmy in mild and calm roles. Except for his role in A Wednesday, he has always done a character which is soft and calm. Saheb, in the film, is quite opposite to the roles that Jimmy has been doing. It is character for whom killing mercilessly is an everyday business and he is one who knows no setbacks in life. His life is full of gunshots. However, all the people who doubt »
