Sleeping Dogs Will Feature A-List Voice Actors

17 July 2012 10:01 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

From the get go, it was obvious that Square Enix truly believes in Sleeping Dogs. However, that fact is even more evident now that we know the Japanese publisher went an extra mile by asking A-list voice actors to step in and give life to its sandbox action game’s cast of characters. It would have been easier if they’d casted relative unknowns, but that didn’t happen. Instead, those who play through the impressive-looking title will hear vocal offerings from the likes of Tom Wilkinson, Emma Stone, Will Yun Lee, Lucy Liu and Jackie Mah.

Sleeping Dogs features over two hours of rich dialogue in a story inspired by some of Hong Kong’s finest films,” said Stephen van der Mescht, executive producer at United Front Games. “As huge fans of the genre we knew exactly who we wanted; we knew who could bring the script to life. »

Men on the Verge: 12 Hot Actors Who Deserve Hotter Careers

26 January 2012 7:33 AM, PST | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

Hollywood loves its hot young-ish stars, from the Ryans (Gosling and Reynolds), to Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Pattinson, Johnny Depp, even Zac Efron -- and my future second husband, James Franco. Together, these fine fellows have returned billions in box office earnings, not to mention an Oscar nomination or two.

But what about the boys who labor on screen, but whose popularity is more than a smidge less than their superstar brethren? After all, for every super-hot Bradley Cooper, there’s an equally hot but underused Justin Bartha. And for every magnificent specimen like Chris Evans, there’s, well, Chris Evans.

Here are 12 Hollywood actors whose presence on big and little screens is a great mixture of talent, brains and a beautiful expanse of brawn. Their careers may not curently have the luster they deserve, but with luck, timing, and the right part, they could be on the verge of superstardom. »
