The CW released trailers for its new shows “Black Lightning,” the reboot of “Dynasty,” “Life Sentence,” and “Valor” after their upfront presentation in New York on Thursday.

DC Comics adaptation “Black Lightning” and “Life Sentence,” which stars “Pretty Little Liars” alum Lucy Hale, are both set to debut midseason. “Dynasty” will air Wednesdays after “Riverdale” starting this fall, while “Valor” will also bow in the fall on Mondays after “Supergirl.”

Dynasty” has reclaimed its night in history.

For much of the primetime soap’s original 1980s run on ABC, it aired on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. And that’s exactly where The CW is putting the show’s reboot, which The CW confirmed was a nod to tradition.

The CW has unveiled its fall 2017 schedule, and “Riverdale” will move to Wednesdays at 8 p.m. for its sophomore season, serving as a lead-in for the all-new “Dynasty.”

As for The CW’s new lineup, the network will make several other aggressive moves, including shifting “Arrow” to Thursday nights behind “Supernatural”; pairing “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (which shifts to 8 p.m.) with “Jane the Virgin” on Fridays. Also, by moving “Jane” off Mondays, The CW will utilize “Supergirl” to help launch new military drama “Valor.”

The CW’s fall schedule will see “Jane the Virgin” reunite with “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” on Friday while Wednesday becomes a night of soapy drama with the reboot of “Dynasty” paired with “Riverdale.”

DC Comics drama “Arrow” moves to Thursday to reunite with “Supernatural.” “Supergirl” slides down an hour on Monday to 8 p.m. to make room for new military-themed drama “Valor” at 9 p.m. The CW formally presents its schedule later today to advertisers in New York, closing out a busy week of broadcast network upfront events.

“Next season, we will have our strongest schedule ever, with a broad range of series to appeal to both women and men, across a wide range of demographics,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz. “And we will continue to provide our advertisers new opportunities to reach our audience, the youngest of any broadcaster, on every platform.”

Alan Dale has joined the CW’s “Dynasty” pilot, Variety has learned exclusively.

Dale’s casting marks an “O.C.” reunion of sorts — the “Dynasty” reboot hails from “The O.C.” creator Josh Schwartz, and Dale starred on the former teen series as the cunning billionaire Caleb Nichol.

The younger-skewing broadcaster has ordered pilots for the “Dynasty” reboot, and the action-adventure drama “Searchers,” Variety has learned.

With the same title as the 1980’s hit, “Dynasty” hails from “Gossip Girls” creators Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Sallie Patrick. The writers will all serve as executive producers, along with the creators of the original “Dynasty,” Esther and Richard Shapiro.
