We Ranked All the Will & Grace Revival Guest Star Returns So Far

We Ranked All the Will & Grace Revival Guest Star Returns So Far
The Will & Grace revival has just nine episodes under its belt. And aside from the fact that the show's returned in surprisingly fighting form—something that can't be said for all revivals these days—we're stunned they've managed to bring back as many guest stars from the original run as there are new episodes for a victory lap. There are still more returns to come—Bobby Cannavale, we're waiting on you!—but it's time to reflect on what they've delivered thus far. And let us just say, not all returns are created equal. They can't all be Molly Shannon, can they? So, you know what that means, honey. It's time for a ranking! ...

Will & Grace Recap: Is Val Bassett Still Crazy After All These Years?

Will & Grace Recap: Is Val Bassett Still Crazy After All These Years?
Did somebody order a heaping helping of loco? Because one was certainly delivered in Thursday’s Will & Grace. Not only did Jack, ahem, bump into his onetime stalker Val Bassett (guest star Molly Shannon), but after all these years with Joe, Will and Grace’s old pal Larry lost his head over… Will! What the what?!? Read on.

As “There’s Something About Larry” began, Larry and Joe were showing Will and Grace photos of their daughter, now a collegian — for 40 minutes. “When will this nightmare end?” Grace asked Will when they were alone. Back in the living room, Larry

‘Divorce’ Review: Season 2 Gets a Brighter, Funnier Makeover, But This HBO Comedy Still Cuts Deep

‘Divorce’ Review: Season 2 Gets a Brighter, Funnier Makeover, But This HBO Comedy Still Cuts Deep
“Divorce” Season 1 was a petrified flower of a TV show. A black comedy that cut deep, again and again, like a particularly thorny rose that you couldn’t stop picking up, Sarah Jessica Parker’s return to HBO was met with an aptly mixed reaction. For some, it was too bleak and too suffocating in its exhausting exploration of a broken marriage. For others, it provided insight into (and thus relief from) one of life’s most prevalent predicaments, making the process of divorce both intriguing in its unexpected challenges and moving in its oh-so-human central characters. The dead rose poked back so much it felt alive, and viewers gleaned something meaningful with every prick.

“Divorce” Season 2 is a rose in bloom, in that much of the elements that scared off onlookers before have been pruned. In their place lies a show intent on discovery, hope, and positive thinking, ushered

Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon’s ‘Terrible’ and ‘Inane’ Rose Parade Parody Really Pissed Off Some Amazon Viewers

Amazon Prime Video got into the live-streaming business on New Year’s Day with live coverage of the 2018 Rose Parade, albeit with a very intentional twist that proved either confounding or downright idiotic to most viewers. The live coverage was actually a parody of live coverage starring Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon in character as health and fitness expert Cord Hosenbeck and “L.A. Law” alum Tish Cattigan, respectively. The comedians stayed in character the entire broadcast and provided ridiculous commentary, and it appears a majority of Amazon users were not happy.

The comments section for “The 2018 Rose Parade Hosted by Cord & Tish” is currently flooded with one-star reviews for the broadcast, with many people seemingly unaware they were watching a parody and not actual coverage of the 2018 Rose Parade. While Shannon looked more like herself,

Will Ferrell And Molly Shannon Hosted A Parody Version Of Rose Parade Coverage — And Some People Were Confused

Back in November, Amazon Prime announced that “SNL” alums Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon would team up for a special to provide mock coverage of the 2018 Rose Parade. As it turned out, some viewers who tuned in to watch the livestream coverage didn’t get the memo that the whole thing was a parody, and […]

11 Most Out-There ‘Cord and Tish’ Comments on the Rose Parade
You’d think after hosting the Rose Parade for a whopping 25 years, local TV personalities Cord Hosenbeck and Tish Cattigan would have run out of material. But the pair were on fire during Monday’s live coverage of the New Year’s Day festivities. Of course, it helped that the fictional commentators were played by comedians Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon. Ferrell and Shannon spent the entire live broadcast (brought to you in partnership by Funny or Die and Amazon Prime) in character, riffing on everything from the event itself to their poor correspondent on the ground, fellow “Saturday Night Live” alum.

Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon’s ‘Cord and Tish’ Upstage Rose Parade With Zippy One-Liners

Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon’s ‘Cord and Tish’ Upstage Rose Parade With Zippy One-Liners
If you don’t get it, you don’t get it. But for viewers who understood the parody stylings of Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell, the 2018 Rose Parade was a fantastic way to spend their morning on New Year’s Day. Shannon and Ferrell acted as commentators for the festivities leading up to the Rose Bowl college football game in Pasadena, but did so in-character as Cord Hosenbeck and Tish Cattigan. And, of course, the fake TV personalities completely upstaged everything that was going on behind them with one-liners that only the “Saturday Night Live” alums could whip out on the spot.

Will Ferrell, Molly Shannon Tease Trump and Tim Meadows in Amazon's Live Rose Parade Coverage

Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon kicked off 2018 as local TV hosts Cord Hosenbeck and Tish Cattigan to host live coverage of the Rose Parade. The satirical Funny or Die broadcast streamed live on Amazon Prime Video on Monday morning.

Playing fictional local TV hosts who have covered the annual event for the past 25 years, the Saturday Night Live alumni put on their best smiles and laughs to share fun facts about the floats while evoking their positions’ signature banter. “It really is an army of people making these floats,” said Shannon of the flower-covered creations, and Ferrell...

‘Hotel Transylvania 3′ gets a new poster

‘Puppies Crash Christmas’: Hulu Continues Its Holiday Tradition of Addictive ‘Yule Log’ Alternatives

Hulu has an adorable answer to the holiday programming seen on other streaming platforms. While Netflix is breaking into the Hallmark-style movie business, and Amazon is testing the live coverage waters with its New Year’s Day special, Hulu is bringing viewers puppies.

The streaming service has literally unleashed the hounds for the holidays with “Puppies Crash Christmas,” the latest in a series of holiday scenics that are entertaining yet still soothing alternatives to the traditional “Yule Log” program showing a burning log in the fireplace. “Puppies Crash Christmas” joins the suite of Streaming Wonderland scenics that Hulu debuted last year that included such gems as “Gingerbread Home Remodel” (a gingerbread house is systematically consumed at a Christmas party), “Stuck Santa” (the jolly one is stuck in a chimney), and “A Sap Story” (sap drips from a tree).

Sundance 2018 Adds Films By Lynne Ramsay, Tamara Jenkins, And More

As much as we want to spend the rest of December not thinking about movies, at least for once second, the Sundance Film Festival is already the corner, and organizers are keeping us on our toes.

This afternoon, a few more titles have added to this year’s lineup, and a couple have caught our eye. Tamara Jenkins, director of “The Savages,” finally returns with her first feature in a decade with “Private Life” starring Kathryn Hahn, Paul Giamatti, Molly Shannon, John Carroll Lynch, and Kayli Carter, and that’s hugely exciting.

A Christmas Story Live: The Best Musical Moments

A Christmas Story Live: The Best Musical Moments
Confession time: We have never seen A Christmas Story.  We went into tonight's live musical production of the tale knowing only that we were in for an inexplicable leg lamp and a child named Ralphie who really wants a gun, and those are indeed some things we got.  But we also got a few other things, like a nice big SNL reunion (Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, Fred Armisen, Molly Shannon & Will Ferrell in a commercial), Jane Krakowski being truly incredible, and a new crush on a man named Chris Diamantopoulos.  However, we can't say we loved everything about the 3 hour production. The first thing we did not love was that it was three hours long, because almost nothing...
