Grammy-award-winning singer Norah Jones and the wife of her father Ravi Shankar have expressed anger over plans by veteran Bollywood filmmaker Dev Anand to make a film based on the story of Shankar and Jones, the Associated Press reported over the weekend. "Nobody knows the inside story about our family except for us," Sukanya Shankar told the A.P. She said that Anand's planned film "intrudes on our privacy." Jones told the London Daily Telegraph: "[Anand] has no idea of our story, and he's not going to represent it in a truthful way, I'm sure. ... It's sad because it's personal stuff and nobody's business but ours." For his part, Anand, once one of India's biggest stars, said in an A.P. interview that he was in New York when he heard that Norah Jones had won five Grammys and was Shankar's daughter. "You don't need anything else after this. The inspiration comes from there, the thought," Anand was quoted as saying.
