  • Happenstance (2001), his most recent collection of poetry, is dedicated to his wife, Chip.
  • In and Out of the Shadows (1999) is a career photo retrospective that includes a few poems written by Selby.
  • My Mother's Autumn (2000) is a collection of poetry dealing with the death of Selby's mother. Also available on compact disc with David Selby reading his poems.
  • Published three books through his publishing company, Locust Grove Press.
  • Has performed in numerous radio theatre live productions with the L.A. Theatre Works. Several of these are available on compact disc and/or cassette.
  • Will appear as Beauregard in Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of the Jerry Herman musical Mame in November 2002 in Thousand Oaks, California.
  • Wrote a play entitled Final Assault which will have its world premiere in April 2003 in Charleston, West Virginia.

  • Reunited with Falcon Crest castmate Susan Sullivan in October 2003 for a performance of A.R. Gurney's "Love Letters" in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
  • Profiled in Art and Soul: West Virginians in the Arts, a June 2005 publication of the Appalachian Education Education Initiative. The book highlights West Virginia artists who completed at least some of their K-12 education in the state and who have received national and/or international recognition for their work. Proceeds from the book will be used to promote arts education in public schools.
  • Appeared in Vengeance at Collinwood, a radio-style drama sequel to the original Dark Shadows series written by his son, Jamison Selby, on July 30, 2005 at the Dark Shadows Hollywood Weekend.
  • His fourth book, "A Better Place," which is part social commentary and part memoir about his West Virginia upbringing, will be available in October 2005 from the West Virginia Book Company.
  • Reprises his original "Dark Shadows" role of Quentin Collins in a new series of audio dramas from Big Finish Productions, available beginning in September 2006. Titles include "The House of Despair," "The Book of Temptation," "The Christmas Presence," and "The Rage Beneath."
  • In late 2007, he published a novel entitled Lincoln's Better Angel.

  • (1976) He acted in Tennessee Williams' play, "The Eccentricities of a Nightingale," at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, Massachusetts with Betsy Palmer in the cast.
  • (July 1976) He acted in Tennessee Williams' play, "The Eccentriticties of a Nightingale," at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, Maine with Betsy Palmer in the cast.
