Many have taken credit for marrying the worlds of music and professional wrestling. It’s generally accepted that Michael Hayes and Sgt. Slaughter were the first ones to really ensure that every performer had their own entrance music. Hayes was ahead of his time in that regard, as this article explains. Summerslam is behind us and we’re just two weeks away from In Your House, and it’s a show that features Shawn Michaels defending the Intercontinental Championship against Psycho Sid and Razor Ramon taking on British Bulldog – it’s Raw from 20 Years Ago Today…

The show opens with a very excited Vince McMahon covering the Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon ladder match from Summerslam, as well as British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith turning on Diesel from three weeks ago on Raw.

Chyna And Triple H In Awkward Reunion At Roddy Piper Funeral

Chyna and Triple H were both in attendance at Roddy Piper’s funeral, Dave Meltzer reports in the wrestling observer newsletter. They were in the same room for an hour and never spoke once.

This was the first time in years that former couple had been together in the same room. It would have been extra awkward, given that Chyna recently accused Triple H of hitting her during their tumultuous relationship. He strongly denied those accusations.

Piper’s funeral took place in Portland, Oregon on 8/11. Other attendees included Bret Hart, Brian Knobbs, Michael Hayes, and former Ufc star Chael Sonnen.

Vince McMahon didn’t attend. He tends to be in Orlando on Tuesdays for Tough Enough.
