First assistant director Hillary Schwartz was found guilty of criminal trespass and involuntary manslaughter in March 10, 2015 and will receive 10 years probation and no prison time. Under terms of the deal, she cannot be a director or assistant director, but she can be a producer in a capacity other than overseeing the safety of others. She also received a $5,000 fine.
On February 20, 2014, while shooting a scene on an active railroad trestle bridge, high over the Altamaha River in Wayne County, Georgia, second camera assistant Sarah Jones was struck and killed by a passing CSX freight train, and seven others were injured.
