American Girl Samantha Parkington is busy empowering little girls and Walt Disney and the El Grupo are too busy fighting the war. With all that going on, we'll leave the fluff to the Care Bears and the animated Duke Brothers. Here are some titles you may have missed recently.

It's rather unfortunate that it took until 1983 for The Dukes of Hazzard to get the cartoon adaptation treatment. Not because it deserved its ink sooner, but because at that point in the live-action series Luke (Tom Wopat) and Bo (John Schneider) had moved on (albeit briefly) leaving their "cousins" Vance (Christopher Mayer) and Coy (Byron Cherry) to engage in the show's misadventures for a year. So when Hanna Barbera adapted the show into a cartoon, instead of just making the main characters Bo and Luke (who were the obvious choice »

Inspired by the very popular CBS live-action series, The Dukes of Hazzard, this animated TV show features the Duke boys and their cousin Daisy (Catherine Bach) in a race around the world. In The Dukes, they want to win the prize money to save the family farm. Boss Hogg (Sorrell Booke), Sheriff Rosco (James Best), and Rosco's dog, Flash (Frank Welker), compete with them to ensure that they don't win so Boss can finally get control of the farm. Each episode is introduced by Uncle Jesse (Denver Pyle) and his pet raccoon, Smokey (Frank Welker).
The first season features cousins Coy and Vance Duke (Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer), the replacements for Bo and Luke that were added to the primetime show when Tom Wopat and John Schneider left during a contract dispute. The latter eventually returned to the live action show and Bo and Luke took »
Paul’s buying up property like Mr. Monopoly, and on Dec. 2 he announced a halfway home is coming to Wisteria Lane!
Desperate Housewives is finally making use of its most underused character: While out for a pity dinner, a drunken René (Vanessa Williams) blabbed to Susan (Teri Hatcher) that she’s got her claws aimed at Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) — but even that little bombshell won’t result in the level of wife-of-wife violence that Paul Young’s (Mark Moses) is about to unleash.
I literally understand nothing about property, mortgages, etc. and even I can tell Paul Young is an absolute genius. If he acquires one more home on Wisteria Lane, he’ll have the majority vote and plans to open up a halfway home. And his timing couldn’t be better, as nearly everyone in the neighborhood has a solid reason to sell.
But the part of the »

The economy shows no appreciable improvement for the people of Skid Row – and the Los Angeles Mission has seen continued high levels of need over the past few months. But Wednesday was an opportunity for the residents of the area to gather and be thankful for what they do have.
Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas, along with his wife Anne, hosted the event for the sixth year in a row. They were joined by hundreds of volunteers from the entertainment industry, government, local businesses, and community members – including Kate Linder, John Schneider, Blair Underwood and many more. The first half of Smallville Season 10 has been an epic cavalcade of return stars, befitting of this memorable final season. The season opened up with the return of John Schneider as Pa Kent. Sure, it was just a vision, but it was enough to ignite Smallville's final season. Other guest-stars have included Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives, Lois & Clark) in Episode 8, "Abandoned," James Marsters as Brainiac 5.0 in Episode 4, "Homecoming," and the return of Alan Ritchson as Aquaman in Episode 9, "Patriot." Who's next? How about John Glover (Lionel Luthor)? Lionel was one of the characters on Smallville that made the show great. His rivalry , or training, of Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) spearheaded the drama from season to season and kept the plot out of Dawson's Creek doldrums. If you go through Smallville's history, you can almost tie the show's major downfalls to the deaths of its beloved »

While not truly a graphic or violent show (comparatively speaking), Nip/Tuck is nevertheless a show that not only pushed boundaries, but helped demonstrate the effectiveness of the broader narrative possibilities available to cable network television. The six seasons of the show delivered an outstanding variety of situations, both by way of the clients, and the doctors, and delved into the entire spectrum of the plastic surgery game.
The final season may have gone a little haywire at times, but it still had an ability to pull the pieces together, and overall the show stands above most. While many may be put off by the entire theory of exploring those seeking a bit more beauty by going under the knife, and the doctors who aid their effort, the show never failed to put its own subject matter on the back burner. Like any good show, the description only provides an »

Season 7, episode 8: “Sorry Grateful”
In the spirit of the Nov. 14 episode’s title (yeah, I think I’ll do that from now on) there were definitely things I was “sorry” about and “grateful” for. Obviously I felt sorry for the crumbling families (Gaby’s immigration snafoo, Susan’s crying fits and Beth’s mommy issues) but at the same time, I was grateful for all the same reasons. We’ve got some serious drama on our hands, here — and I’m talking death-threatening-husband-stealing-felony-committing Drama.
I’m sorry for… Hector, Carmen and Grace: Thanks to Gaby’s (Eva Longoria Parker) selfish — and slightly drunken — behavior, the police discovered that Hector and Carmen are illegal immigrants. But since Grace, who’s Gaby’s biological daughter, was born in the Us, it looks like Gaby’s going to work that selfish magic again to keep her. ¡Escandalo! Susan (Teri Hatcher): »
Both the gravy and the plot thicken on several storylines when Thanksgiving hits Wisteria on Sunday's (Nov. 14) episode of "Desperate Housewives."
After Bree's (Marcia Cross) last disastrous run-in with Keith's (Brian Austin Green) parents (played by John Schneider and Nancy Travis), she invites them to spend Thanksgiving with them. And later at dinner, Bree finds out some family secrets.
Also in the next episode, Gabrielle (Eva Longoria-Parker) and Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) welcome Grace's family for Thanksgiving dinner, only to discover something that may threaten their relationship with their newly rediscovered daughter.
Then, Susan (Teri Hatcher) and Lynette (Felicity Huffman) get into a disagreement over sleep-training methods for the new baby. Lynette, though, may have bigger fish to fry as Renee (Vanessa Williams) keeps reminding Tom (Doug Savant) of whatever they had between them.
"Desperate Housewives" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. Et on ABC.

More stars have agreed and scheduled to reprise their roles in Smallville before the series finale. Some more names have been added to the list of people expected to make a return to the Superman series. So far we have seen the return of John Schneider as Jonathan Kent, Laura Vandervoort as Kara or Supergirl as most know her and James Marsters has returned, only this time as Brainiac 5. It was reported a while back that John Glover would reprise his role as Lionel Luthor in the tenth episode titled, 'Luthor." Cynthia Watros is going back to her nutcase roots. The House and Lost actress — who picked up an Emmy in 1998 for portraying psycho stalker Annie Dutton on Guiding Light — is headed to Desperate Housewives to play Bree’s (literally) crazy friend, sources confirm to me exclusively.
We’ll meet Watros’s character in Housewives’ ninth episode when she accompanies Bree and new boytoy Keith (Brian Austin Green) on a double date. Rumor has it Watros’ escort for the evening is Keith’s pa, played by John Schneider.
Watros will juggle her one-episode Housewives stint with her current recurring role as »
