To mark the release of The Sopranos 15th anniversary complete series on 8th September, we’ve been given 1 boxset to give away.
Tony Soprano (Gandolfini) is the head of two families and sometimes the pressure is too much to bear. As head of the Sopranos crime family, he deals with conniving underbosses, rival families, and the occasional dead body. As husband to his wife, Carmela, and father to his two children, Meadow and Anthony Jr., he deals with financial difficulties, infidelity, and trying to keep his “professional” life from colliding with his family life.
In addition to the outstanding performance from Gandolfini, The Sopranos features a critically acclaimed cast including Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas, The Basketball Diaries) as Tony’s therapist Dr Jennifer Melfi, Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie, Copland) as Tony’s wife Carmela Soprano, and his mobster pals Michael Imperioli (Goodfellas, The Lovely Bones) as Christopher Moltisanti and Steve Schirripa »
The years 2008 and 2009 really weren’t that long ago. So it seems a bit odd to reflect on Breaking Bad—it just wrapped its final season in September and is an Emmys hopeful this year—or Lady Gaga when they are still relevant today. “Remember when” just doesn’t carry as much meaning here as it does with the earlier episodes in VH1′s I Love the 2000s series.
That being said, the show’s brilliant talking heads brought the last two installments in the series to life. (I certainly wasn’t sorry I spent my Saturday night watching them, »

Jersey Boys, 2014.
Directed by Clint Eastwood.
The story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.
There is a great scene in Clint Eastwood’s big screen version of the hit show Jersey Boys, where the actors perform a musical number in that old Hollywood style we no longer see; the set is clearly a set, the singing breaks out from conversation, people enter and leave the frame dancing, and for a few minutes the film is acknowledging both the roots of the show and the magical artifice of musical cinema.
The problem is these few minutes only arrive as the film is ending, like the final curtain of a stage »

Okay I admit it, I'm a showtunes queen! I love Broadway and musicals, good musicals, that is. And I think "Jersey Boys" is a good musical. The rugs-to-riches tale of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is captivating and the soundtrack rocks!
And now comes the inevitable movie version, and to be honest? It actually looks good! Director Clint Eastwood added some grittiness to the Broadway gloss and voila -- a musical that will steal our hearts this summer, June 20th to be exact! Oh, plus points for adding Christopher Walken to the mix! Will he sing? Or at least dance?
Take a look at the new "Jersey Boys" trailer and then sing with the soundtrack:
