Annual Celebrity Charity Doodle Auction Set To Launch

The annual Neurofibromatosis, Inc. Celebrity Doodle Auction – reported earlier by LookToTheStars.org – is about to launch.

The list is like a “who’s who” of celebrities, and includes Gillian Anderson, Jason Alexander, Carol Channing, Tim Conway, Tim Daly, Phyllis Diller, George Foreman, Terry Fator, Charles Fazzino, Neil Gaiman, Paul Michael Glaser, Seth Green, Melissa Joan Hart, Florence Henderson, Stephen Hillenburg, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tea Leoni, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Joshua Malina, Howie Mandel, Frank Marino, Cory Monteith (Glee), Kevin Nealon, Amanda Palmer, Jodi Picoult, Amy Poehler, Alan Rachins, Eric Roberts, Mark Ryden, Ronnie Schell, Martin Sheen, Sarah Silverman, Roy Thinnes, Carrie Underwood, Sela Ward, plus many others. All have contributed a piece of their own creativity to help support Nf, Inc. and their 4th annual Doodle Auction.

Paul Mooney's TV history from Black Is the New White

Paul Mooney is well known to stand-up comedians for his own work and for writing for his longtime friend, Richard Pryor. Outside of that, though, his name recognition gets a little fuzzier. So for TV comedy fans, Mooney's new memoir, Black Is the New White, provides some great behind-the-scenes moments they should probably know.

There are a lot of heartfelt stories about Richard Pryor and Mooney's own personal life, but there is a lot of fun TV trivia, as well. Mooney talks about getting forced onstage by a couple of friends to do his first solo stand-up spot in the early 60s in San Francisco. Mooney is drunk and nervous, and winds up doing the act of a comic named Ronnie Schell, who would later co-star with Jim Nabors on Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. Mooney admits whenever he catches the show in reruns, he feels a little guilty.

Don't Leave It All To Your Children Announces James Dybas To Join Cast 7/1, Offers Special Tix Deal For 7/4

James Dybas will join the cast of the hit Baby Boomer musical revue "Don't Leave It All To Your Children! on July 1st, subbing for Ronnie Schell who is taking a leave to fulfill some concert engagements. Ronnie will re-join the cast in early fall. Mr. Dybas joins Barbara Minkus (Picon Pie), Marcia Rodd (The Last of the Red Hot Lovers) and Steve Rossi (of Allen & Rossi) in the revue written and directed by Saul Ilson (The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour) with musical staging by Rudy Tronto.
