Universal’s Animated Stage Show Opens Its Doors In Latest Trailer For Sing

25 May 2016 7:05 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Looking ahead to 2017, the one Matthew McConaughey role that already has Stephen King fans rooted to the edge of their seats is a certain Man in Black (Aka Randall Flagg), who will soon be on the run from Idris Elba’s lone gunslinger in The Dark Tower.

However, on the other end of the McConaughey spectrum is Sing, a bright and breezy animated romp that places the Oscar-winner in the role of Buster Moon, a wide-eyed crooner who hopes to resurrect his once-grand theater by hosting a talent show.

Swinging its doors open to any and every contestant, Moon’s good-will gesture soon results in a whole host of animals walking the boards in an attempt to jump-start their budding musical careers. After whittling down a list of the more eccentric cast of candidates, Sing presents moviegoers with five talented musicians setting out to start a new chapter under Buster Moon’s rejuvenated roof. »

Illumination Entertainment’s animated musical Sing receives a new trailer

24 May 2016 12:45 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, the studios behind both Despicable Me movies and this summer’s The Secret Life of Pets, have released a new trailer for their latest animated effort, Sing. This second trailer is over twice as long as the first one, which was released back in February, and as a result spends more time highlighting the film’s stellar voice cast, plot and characters. Check out the fun teaser, which kids are sure to have a blast with, below…

In Sing, an optimistic koala named Buster Moon holds a singing competition in hopes to save his theater. Five contestants emerge as frontrunners and each has their own set of problems to work through and reasons for wanting to take home the grand prize of $100,000. Similar to the current 2016 animation box office champion, Disney’s hugely successful Zootopia, the movie takes place in a world entirely inhabited by animals. »

Celebrity cameos: has the joke worn thin?

30 April 2016 12:00 AM, PDT | The Guardian - Film News | See recent The Guardian - Film News news »

From the new Absolutely Fabulous movie to Zoolander 2, Ryan Gilbey reflects on what separates the unforgettable star turns from the excruciating B-list cash-ins

In her BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous, Jennifer Saunders was never slow to rope in famous chums to add an in-jokey authenticity to her portrait of the fag-end of the high life. The forthcoming movie version promises to be a similar model of celebrity democracy, with a cast that runs from A-list to Z-list. Where else would you find Kate Moss rubbing shoulders with Judith Chalmers? Or Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe cosying up to Christopher Biggins? If a bomb had dropped on set, it would have been goodbye to Hello! magazine. Heat might have frozen over.

No big-budget comedy is complete until the producers have milked their contacts book dry for star cameos. Overkill was part of the gag in the third Austin Powers film (Tom Cruise, »

First Trailer For The Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie

27 April 2016 10:12 AM, PDT | www.themoviebit.com | See recent TheMovieBit news »

Ab Fab fans rejoice, as Edina and Patsy are back, and, if the first trailer is any indication, Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley haven’t lost a step as the beloved pair of hard drinking socialites. Their big screen debut follows the trend of most BBC sitcom to movie adaptations, getting the main characters out of their familiar surroundings, in this case the South of France, where “everyone’s a criminal”, after the pair become pursued by the paparazzi following a fatal faux pas at a fashion event. Fans of the t.v. show will no doubt eat this up, and while it newcomers may something so established a bit daunting, there is a certain cameo laden charm to it, and enough there to keep you chuckling. Released: July 1st (Irl/U.K.)/ July 22nd (U.S.) »

'Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie' Gets An International Trailer

27 April 2016 7:55 AM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

Cult British comedy Absolutely Fabulous is getting a big screen adaptation. The film will reunite series stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, who first played the parts in a 1990 sketch on the show French & Saunders. The sketch was such a hit that it led to a full-on sitcom based on their characters, Edina and Patsy. Absolutely Fabulous ran from 1992 to 1996, and had a few special reunion episodes in 2011 and 2012. It looks like those reunion specials garnered enough interest to bring us a full-fledged major motion picture.

Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie will bring together all of the original main cast, and is being directed by Mandie Fletcher. The film now has an international trailer, which you can see right here:

The ever glamourous and self-indulgent Patsy and Edina find themselves at the centre of a media firestorm, when Edina seemingly accidentally kills Kate Moss.
