Takamaru Sasaki was born on January 30, 1898 in Hokkaido, Japan. He was an actor and writer, known for Throne of Blood (1957), Samurai Rebellion (1967) and The Sword of Doom (1966). He died on December 28, 1986 in Tokyo, Japan.

Grandfather of actor Katsuhiko Sasaki.
Father-in-law of actor Minoru Chiaki.
Made the Japanese lyrics for "The Internationale" in 1922.
