Lunchtime Poll: Which 'Love Actually' couple ended up staying together the longest?

21 December 2011 10:00 AM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Have you ever wondered what happened to all the couples from 2003′s Love Actually? I watch it often enough that I’ve spent way too much time thinking about this. ‘Tis the season to watch Love Actually with your family and have to listen — for the thousandth time — about how much your dad hates that sleazebag secretary Mia for ruining Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson’s marriage!

Let’s think about this for real. David and Natalie (Hugh Grant and Martine McCutcheon, pictured) made a great couple in that they were so different, but would their relationship crumble in the national spotlight? »

300 Spinoff Find Its Goddess Artemisia

20 December 2011 6:00 AM, PST | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

Last month, the 300 spinoff underwent a small change in its title, becoming 300: Battle of Artemisia, and set about searching for an actress of goddess-like presence for its titular role. Director Noam Murro previously stated that they weren’t necessarily looking for a name actress to play Artemisia.

According to THR, Artemisia has been found in actress Eva Green (Dark Shadows, Casino Royale). Green is currently in negotiations for the role. From our last article, the following description is what casting agents were looking for in Artemisia:

“Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) is somewhat pushed into the bloody battle with the Greeks by the gold-covered maven goddess Artemisia. Artemisia, witnessing just how much his father King Darius’s death has affected him, persuades Xerxes – with her “vindictive charm” – to go into battle against those responsible.”

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures hope to begin production of this follow up to Zack Snyder’s »

Eva Green In Talks To Play Goddess Artemisia In '300' Prequel

19 December 2011 11:59 AM, PST | MTV Splash Page | See recent MTV Splash Page news »

"300: Battle of Artemisia" -- or "300: The Battle of Artemisium" for some -- is finally close to finding its leading lady.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that "Casino Royale" starlet Eva Green has entered into negotiations to play the titular goddess. Last we heard, Artemisia is the central character of the "300" prequel and was the main role director Noam Murro was looking to cast. She is the character who will pull the strings of the story, including manipulating Xerxes (rumored to be played by Rodrigo Santoro) and Themosticles.

The THR story doesn't mention Santoro's name as involved with the project, but it seems virtually necessary that Santoro reprise his role as Xerxes in the film if there is any hope to establish a continuity between this prequel and "300." So, bottom line, we aren't writing him off just yet.

As for other characters, there is still the role of Themistocles to fill. »

Eva Green in negotiations to star in "300" prequel

19 December 2011 8:05 AM, PST | ifc.com | See recent IFC news »

It's been a long process trying to bring the "300" sequel, "300: Battle of Artemisia," to the big screen, but now there's some renewed life in the project. The first casting decision involves the titular character Artemisia, and apparently director Noam Murro has finally found the woman he wants for the role.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Eva Green has entered into negotiations for the part. Rumor has it that Artemisia is the central character of the story, even though it has been casting some male leads. Artemisia is the goddess who manipulates main character Xerxes (allegedly still being played by Rodrigo Santoro) into battle against the Spartans.

The other actor rumored to be involved in the film is Joel Edgerton, who is in talks to play Themistocles. He isn't locked down yet, though, so Green might be the first official actor in the movie if she ends up taking the role. »

Kneel Before Eva Green, Goddess of '300'

16 December 2011 5:05 PM, PST | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

Eva Green as a goddess? Talk about typecasting!

The former Bond Girl and all-around stunning beauty is in talks to play the heavenly female lead of "300: Battle of Artemisia," according to Heat Vision.

Green would be playing the role of Artemisia herself, the ruthless, gold-covered goddess who persuades king-turned-god Xerxes to amass his army and helps lead the charge against the Greek forces. The giant battle at the center of the film is said to be happening simultaneously with the events of the original "300."

The "300" sequel is still looking for its mortal male lead as "Warrior" star Joel Edgerton recently turned down the role of Themosticles, the general of the Greek army. Rodrigo Santoro, who played Raul Castro in Steven Soderbergh's "Che," has been cast as Xerxes.

Eva Green is probably best known for her role as Vesper Lynd, one of 007's hottest-ever love interests, in "Casino Royale. »

‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting’ Trailer – Like ‘New Year’s Eve’, Only With Pregnancy Instead of a Holiday

9 December 2011 2:00 PM, PST | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

[1] Because Hollywood couldn't fit all of its stars in Garry Marshall's New Year's Eve [2], it's also giving us What to Expect When You're Expecting, which stars pretty much everyone else. Such as: Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Banks, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Chace Crawford, Dennis Quaid, Rodrigo Santoro, Joe Manganiello, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Matthew Morrison, Chris Rock, Thomas Lennon, Ben Falcone, Megan Mullally, Rob Huebel, and Rebel Wilson. Based, somehow, on the extremely popular pregnancy manual first published in the '80s, the ensemble comedy follows several interlinking storylines all centered around the miracle of childbirth. Watch the first trailer after the jump. [via Movieline [3]] New Year's Eve may have the higher-profile cast, but What to Expect When You're Expecting's is funnier -- it's got three Bridesmaids actors, even! -- and accordingly, the trailer for the latter looks more entertaining. Which isn't saying much, but still. The jokes don't seem to especially fresh, »

First Trailer for What to Expect When You’re Expecting is Delivered

9 December 2011 8:12 AM, PST | Movie Cultists | See recent Movie Cultists news »

If you’re in the market for a movie filled to maximum capacity with pregnant stars then What to Expect When You’re Expecting is the film you’ve been waiting for. The cast reads like a who’s who of big name celebs and almost all of them are sporting baby bumps. Can one movie handle all that star power?

This isn’t the first film to use an onslaught of celebrities to boost the box office appeal of a movie. Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve use the same tactic. Unfortunately, those films use an endless supply of stars and a myriad of storylines to disguise the fact that there’s actually no plot to propel the story forward.

What to Expect When You’re Expecting, based on the book of the same name by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel, stands out from the pack because »

'What to Expect When You're Expecting' trailer: Oof.

8 December 2011 5:10 PM, PST | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

You know when people tell you that when you have nothing nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all? Well, ignore those jerks right now because we have to talk about "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and its terrible trailer.

Let's get this out there first: We're suckers for the multiple storylines, giant star-studded cast movies like "Love Actually" and the upcoming "New Year's Eve." If we're being really honest, we saw "Valentine's Day" twice in the theater. Romantic comedies are our favorite genre of movie to watch at any occasion, especially in the beginning of the summer when this movie is supposed to come out.

But guys, this one looks awful. The cast is pretty great -- Cameron DiazJennifer LopezAnna KendrickElizabeth BanksDennis QuaidChace CrawfordRodrigo Santoro and plenty of other attractive, inoffensive people -- but there's something that just falls completely flat. »

'What to Expect When You're Expecting' Trailer Debuts Magical Pregnancy Unicorns

I think it's quite apparent what trailers will be playing in front of New Year's Eve this weekend as first we got the trailer for The Lucky One and now we get the first trailer for What To Expect When You're Expecting based on the global bestseller by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel. I can only assume the trailer for One for the Money will complete the trifecta. When it comes to What To Expect When You're Expecting the story has been adapted by Shauna Cross (Whip It) and Heather Hach (Freaky Friday) and follows six couples of varying ages and backgrounds in the run-up to delivery of their babies, in a manner very similar to New Line Cinema's ensemble features He's Just Not That Into You, Valentine's Day and, you guessed it, New Year's Eve, which I just reviewed earlier today (read that here).
