‘Bad Moms’ Christmas Sequel in the Works for Late 2017 Release

Stx Entertainment is launching “A Bad Moms Christmas” as a sequel to its hit comedy “Bad Moms,” with a Nov. 3, 2017, release date.

Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are returning to direct from their own script with stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn reprising their characters. The film will be produced by Suzanne Todd and executive produced by Bill Block; the duo produced “Bad Moms.”

Bad Moms,” which focused on over-stressed mothers, was produced for $20 million and took in more than $180 million worldwide when it was released earlier this year. In “A Bad Moms Christmas,” the trio must deal with the stresses of their own mothers visiting for the holidays.

‘No Pay, Nudity’ Review: Gabriel Byrne Shines as a Struggling Actor

11 November 2016 8:49 AM, PST | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Ah, the actor’s life. For those who are smitten by the slings and arrows of mostly not outrageous fortune, the choice of a career is inescapable. It’s something they were born to do, something in their blood. Such a person is Lester Rosenthal (stage name Lawrence Rose), played with understated aplomb by Gabriel Byrne in “No Pay, Nudity.” (The unusual title refers to how a casting ad might read in a theater trade paper.) Crisply written by TV producer Ethan Sandler (“New Girl”) and directed by theater veteran Lee Wilkof with an eye for small details and a lifetime of experience, »

Bad Moms' Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis Bond Over Being "Overworked and Terrified" by Motherhood

17 June 2016 5:20 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

It's a weekday and I'm sitting in a director's chair between a produce display and a freezer holding frozen alligator meat. I'm in the back row of a small group of reporters who are all fixated on a monitor, watching Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, and Kathryn Hahn sprint down a cereal aisle. Hahn stops halfway through the take and voraciously makes out with a confused (but satisfied) stock boy. Later, our group moves into the salad dressing aisle to watch the trio repeatedly waterfall vodka, Kahlúa, and milk into their mouths. It's the set of Bad Moms, a comedy so acutely focused on the trials facing modern mothers that you may be wary to learn that it's directed by a couple of men. Jon Lucas and Scott Moore wrote the Hangover trilogy, but both they and the cast are careful not to label Bad Moms as the "Female Hangover." Sure, »
