Deadwood Movie May Shoot This Year Says Ian McShane

Deadwood Movie May Shoot This Year Says Ian McShane
This August will mark the 11th anniversary of a very sad date in TV history, the last episode of Deadwood, which was unceremoniously canceled after its Season 3 finale. Given the massive fan base for the show, many had been holding out hope that the show would come back in some way, and in January 2016, those fans' prayers were answered when the network gave the green light for a new Deadwood movie. We reported in April that series creator David Milch has delivered his script to HBO, but we haven't heard anything since then. Today we have word from Ian McShane, who said that the movie may in fact shoot before the end of the year.

Variety spoke with Ian McShane, who was promoting his new hit series American Gods on Starz, when the talk eventually shifted to Deadwood. The last update we had on the movie was last month, when

Deadwood Reunion Movie Needs to Happen Now or Never Hints Ian McShane

Deadwood Reunion Movie Needs to Happen Now or Never Hints Ian McShane
Back in January, HBO finally confirmed that rumors of a Deadwood movie are true, with series creator and executive producer David Milch being given the green light to start working on this long-awaited reunion. No plot details have surfaced at this time, and we haven't had any additional updates since January, but original Deadwood star Ian McShane thinks that the network should move quickly with this project, because he and the rest of his cast may not be available if the development process drags out. Here's what he had to say during a new interview with Chris Hardwick.

"There's talk about it now, them writing a script. But I'll believe it when I'm on the street in my muddy boots...Now would seem a perfect time, it's ten years since they elbowed it. It's perfect time. Tim's got a huge following from the show he did, Justified. All the other people are free,

Stephen King Week: Robert Rusler Reflects on Sometimes They Come Back

  • DailyDead
Probably one of the more overlooked Stephen King adaptations has got to be Tom McLoughlin’s Sometimes They Come Back which first aired on network TV in 1991. A film that I don’t think I fully appreciated until I got a little older (and much wiser), this revenge tale is centered around a troubled teacher (Tim Matheson) who is haunted by a gang of greasers who killed his brother and were obliterated in the attack as well, some 27 years after the tragedy. A creepy yet poignant exploration of loss and regret, Sometimes They Come Back is truly a film I think only gets better with time.

For Sometimes They Come Back, Matheson was joined onscreen by a talented ensemble featuring Brooke Adams (Invasion of the Body Snatchers ’78), Robert Rusler (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2), Nicholas Sadler (Twister), William Sanderson (Blade Runner), and Bentley Mitchum (Demonic Toys). Daily Dead recently spoke

'Deadwood' Movie to Finally Wrap-Up HBO Series?

'Deadwood' Movie to Finally Wrap-Up HBO Series?
Nine years ago this month, HBO's hit series Deadwood aired its last episode after just three seasons on the air. Ever since then, fans have been clamoring for the show to return in some form, with series star Kim Dickens saying last year that Deadwood creator David Milch still wants to give the beloved Western series a proper ending. Earlier today, star Garret Dillahunt told his Twitter followers that he's heard rumors of a Deadwood movie. Here's what the actor had to say on his Twitter page.

"So uh....I'm hearing credible rumors about a #Deadwood movie. #Everybodypray. Come on @HBO...you made @entouragemovie. Give the #Deadwood fans some closure. #Youcandoit."

TV Line also reports that HBO is actually in negotiations with David Milch for a movie that will wrap up the story line, though it is not stated whether or not this will be a movie that airs on HBO or in theaters,

'Blade Runner: The Final Cut' Trailer for UK Re-Release

'Blade Runner: The Final Cut' Trailer for UK Re-Release
The BFI has created a special trailer for Blade Runner: The Final Cut, which will hit select UK theaters this April. This is the version of the film director Ridley Scott oversaw for the 2007 Blu-ray release of the sci-fi classic starring Harrison Ford, Sean Young, Daryl Hannah and Rutger Hauer. At this time, there are no planned U.S. re-release dates.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut contains a number of small changes from the Director's Cut, which was released way back in 1991. The most significant difference is that this version has the full 'unicorn dream sequence' that points to a deciding factor in whether or not Harrison Ford's character is actually a replicant. About this new trailer Ridley Scott stated:

"This new trailer captures the essence of the film and I hope will inspire a new generation to see Blade Runner when it is re-released across the UK on 3 April.

Harrison Ford Says He May Return for Blade Runner Sequel

Harrison Ford Says He May Return for Blade Runner Sequel
Over the past few years, we've heard a number of conflicting reports regarding Harrison Ford's involvement in the Blade Runner Sequel.

Back in October 2012, it was rumored that the actor was in talks to return as Rick Deckard from the original 1982 classic Blade Runner. Producer Andrew A. Kosove shot down those rumors just a few days later. But then, director Ridley Scott turned right around and revealed he was quite open to the actor returning.

While promoting his upcoming sci-fi thriller Ender's Game, Harrison Ford himself has now revealed that he has been talking with Ridley Scott about coming back as Rick Deckard.

"Yeah, we've been chatting about it."

Despite being considered one of the great classics in the sci-fi genre, its long been known that the original Blade Runner was a very troubled production. Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott didn't see eye to eye on what the movie was supposed to be,

Review: True Blood Season Five

  • Comicmix
If True Blood Season Five could be easily summed up – and really, it can’t – the theme was about the consequences of one’s actions. Unlike the previous season, this one seemed determined to tidy things up and thin out the herd a bit. During the course of the season, Alan Ball let it be known this would be his final outing as showrunner and clearly, he was determined to be the one to say farewell to a few friends and foes. The season therefore zipped along at a wild, frenetic pace that saw more fangs, blood, and naked bodies than before.

Since Charlaine Harris’ novels began being adapted for HBO, the supporting cast has grown and interestingly, they’re the ones who appear to be the most interesting, getting the deepest development. The triangle of protagonist/antagonist/lover of Sookie, Bill, and Eric sees them getting the least depth
