Starting in 2010 and to relative little fanfare, two shows of immense creativity came out of nowhere and seemed to propose that cartoons return to a time when imagination was king and simple hand animation wasn't a sign of being behind the times. The shows in questions were Cartoon Network's Adventure Time with Finn & Jake and Regular Show, the former of which we covered just recently. And while Adventure Time took off rather quickly thanks to its whimsical fantasy setting with nerdy jokes, Regular Show didn't burst into the pop culture consciousness quite as effortlessly. But it deserved to, and more recently it's begun to get the attention it deserves. The first two seasons of the show are now out on Blu-ray, and they make for an enjoyable introduction to the strangely hilarious misadventures of Mordecai the Blue Jay (voiced by series creator J.G. Quintel) and Rigby the Raccoon (William Salyers).

I have to admit, I’m woefully out of the loop when it comes to Adventure Time, but I know it’s one of the biggest things at every con, and of course, their presence will be heard, along with other folks from the Cartoon Network, at this summer’s Comic-Con. Read on for details on the panels and who’s coming, including nuggets on Teen Titans Go! and Beware The Batman.

The Cartoon Network series Regular Show has been a hit with viewers ever since it debuted back in 2010. These animated adventures follow a blue jay named Mordecai (J.G. Quintel) and the raccoon Rigby (William Salyers), who have mundane jobs as groundskeepers at a local park.
For fans who need a regular dose of Regular Show, the network has released the Regular Show: Party Pack on DVD as a follow-up to the Regular Show - The Best DVD in the World *At this Moment in Time and Regular Show: The Slack Pack. This latest disc contains 16 episodes from all three seasons that have some sort of party theme that Mordecai and Rigby come across.
I recently had the chance to speak with series creator, and the voice of Mordecai, J.G. Quintel about this Party Pack DVD set, which is currently available at retailers everywhere. »
