Hungarian film producer Miklós Salusinszky was born in Moscow in 1948.
His father, Dr. István Salusinszky was the president of the Hungarian
Foreign Commerce Bank between 1964 and 1982. Miklós studied at the
University of Szeged, where he majored in English and Italian. He had
been working at the Pannónia Filmstúdió since the 1970s, where he
contributed to several experimental animation films - the most famous
is the Academy Award winning short A légy by Ferenc Rófusz. His other
credits include the Italian-Hungarian co-production T.I.R., the
Hungarian political puppet comedy Uborka and the popular puppet tale
Süni és barátai. The latter program was produced by Aladin Filmstúdió,
which ended when Miklós Salusinszky passed away and the new management
(his family) couldn't support it any more.
