No Offence consists of eight hour-long episodes, and follows Di Vivienne Deering (Scanlan), DC Dinah Kowalska (Elaine Cassidy) and DS Joy Freers (Roach) as they attempt to keep the streets clean from crime.
Writer Abbott previously said about the show: "I'm a big fan of well-told cop shows and jet-black social comedy, and I wanted to see how explosively we could bang two genres' heads together.
"No Offence is reared on wilder-than-average seeds, and I've had a ball with the AbbottVision team in building this concept."
Back during the Sony hack, it was revealed that former studio chairman Amy Pascal was keen on having Idris Elba (Luther, Thor: The Dark World) take on the role of super spy James Bond when Daniel Craig decides it’s time to retire his license to kill, and now Elba has received the seal of approval from former 007 Pierce Brosnan.
“Yeah, [Elba] would make a good Bond,” Brosnan told the Radio Times. “Colin Salmon also. May the best man get the job and may Daniel bring home the bacon for as long as he wants.”

The actor, who played 007 from 1995 to 2002, told the Radio Times that he believes the Luther actor would make a good Bond.

Digital Spy grilled Thomas about her guest stint on BBC One's romantic, action-packed period caper - and here's six things we learnt about this week's adventure.

2.3 The Good Traitor
Last week’s An Ordinary Man brought excitement and danger through some strong writing and performances, and could certainly be considered up there with the best the series has had to offer. It was a good example of how a Musketeers’ story can be told that reflects the excitement and adventure of the source material but in a manner that modern audiences would enjoy – exactly what we’ve been wanting from this adaptation. The question was of course – is this a one-off? Have they peaked early ? Well, in The Good Traitor the cast and writers have done an excellent job of picking up where An Ordinary Man left off – certainly being the equal in writing, performance and direction.
