"#poledancing is difficult under these conditions Hahahaha" Despite a growing baby bump, the actress couldn't help but Lol when she tried to work that pole! Go Zoe! After »
A-listers unite! Wow, talk about a star-studded ad campaign. L'Oreal Paris managed to pull in a ton of Hollywood power players, like Zoe Saldana, Eva Longoria, Blake Lively, Jane Fonda, Julianne Moore and Freida Pinto. The campaign is for the beauty brand's latest lipstick launch, Collection Exclusive Pure Reds. And in the ads, all the women pose clad in white, which of course makes all their red lipstick really pop. The campaign (shot by Norman Jean Roy) also features beauties like Laetitia Casta, Liya Kebede, Natasha Poly and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Even though all the women sport gorgeous red lips—they are all wearing different hues. The idea is that the colors match their varying »
Lady luxe! Pregnant Zoe Saldana stepped out to present at the 2014 Hispanic Heritage Awards in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, Sept. 18. And, true to form, the style star glowed in her sweeping, ebony formalwear. The Star Trek actress’ ensemble for the evening included her long black gown complete with a bump-accommodating peplum ruffle, chandelier earrings, a golden cuff on one arm and her adoring husband Marco Perego on the other. Mrs. Perego, 36, also brought one other guest with her: sister Cisely Saldana, who matched her sibling [...] »
Get excited, Star Trek fans! While promoting his new documentary series on Today, Zachary Quinto hinted that the third installment in the Star Trek franchise could be coming sooner rather than later. "I think it's on the horizon," the 37-year-old actor, who plays Spock, said. "Things are rumbling, so I have a feeling that we will be in production sometime in the next six months." Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana are expected to reprise their roles as Captain Kirk and Uhura in the upcoming movie, but J.J. Abrams will not return as director. The 48-year-old filmmaker announced his departure in September 2013 and said, "I feel very lucky to have been part of it, and it »
One of the rare films to play at both Sundance and the Toronto International Film Festival was writer-director Maya Forbes’ Infinitely Polar Bear. Based on her own childhood experiences, the film takes place in 1978 Boston and stars Mark Ruffalo as a manic-depressive father struggling to raise his young daughters while also trying to win back his wife (Zoe Saldana). Loaded with fantastic performances and a great script that’s able to keep Ruffalo sympathetic even when he’s causing serious problems, Forbes’ debut feature really impressed me, and you should look forward to seeing it for yourself next year in theaters. Shortly after the Tiff premiere I landed an exclusive interview with Maya Forbes. During the interview she talked about getting to be part of Sundance and Tiff, her first cut of the film and what she cut out, the subject matter and how there is an element of fortuitousness »

If the continued success of Guardians of the Galaxy is any indication, audiences really only want to know more and more about the Marvel film, and the good news is that writer/director James Gunn is around to deliver. He has been sharing behind-the-scenes info and photos from his movie for months now, and this week it seems he.s hit a theme of .deleted scenes. Yesterday we learned about a musical sequence that had to get the axe, and today we have a new story about a little extra pelvic sorcery the movie almost included. The story begins with this photo of a beautiful woman that Gunn posted on his Instagram page: This beautiful blue actress/model is Simara Dixon, who was originally going to be featured early in Guardians of the Galaxy when Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Rocket and Groot »
Director Peter Jackson helped push the envelope of frame rate technology by presenting The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in the high frame rate (Hfr) of 48 frames per second, double the industry standard of 24 Fps. Now it seems filmmaker James Cameron may go even further with his upcoming Avatar sequels, Avatar 2, Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 by filming at 120 frames per second.
Douglas Trumbull, who developed a 4K 3D system that is shot at 120 Fps dubbed Magi, revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he has spoken with James Cameron's producing partner Jon Landau about using this technology on the Avatar follow-ups. Here's what Douglas Trumbull had to say about setting up a screening of his short film Utofog, which showcases the Magi technology.
"I know that Cameron admired Showscan [Trumbull's earlier invention of a large-format high-frame rate projection system] and that he is a huge advocate of high frame »
Landau has requested a screening of short film Ufotog, which is being used as a showcase for the Magi process.
"I know that Cameron admired Showscan [Trumbull's earlier invention of a large-format high-frame rate projection system] and that he is a huge advocate of high frame rates [HFRs]," said Trumbull.
"The use of HFRs for Avatar would be very appropriate and very successful.
"I don't know if Cameron is interested [in using Magi for the Avatar sequels]. He's in seclusion writing the screenplay for Avatar. I am talking to Jon Landau, and we plan to have a screening [of Ufotog] soon."
Trumbull has said that he is in talks with other directors about Magi.
"It delivers extreme fluidity of motion and amazing clarity with no strobing, no double flickering and a viewing »
‘No Good Deed’ movie going unpunished to top weekend box office? (photo: Idris Elba in ‘No Good Deed’) Apologies for the bad wordplay above, but if Friday estimates are a reliable indicator, No Good Deed should indeed go unpunished to the top of the domestic box office this weekend, September 12-14, 2014. But why "unpunished"? Well, so far the Sam Miller-directed thriller starring four-time Emmy nominee Idris Elba (Luther) and Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) has a downright putrid 10% score and 2.6/10 average among Rotten Tomatoes‘ top critics. Sony Pictures, whose subsidiary ScreenGems is distributing No Good Deed, reportedly opted to skip late Thursday screenings to ensure that the film’s plot twist would be kept under wraps. More likely, however, it was the critics’ derisive remarks that Sony wanted under wraps. For instance: "The final plot twist is about as »

One of the more poignant scenes in this summer's mega-behemoth Guardians of the Galaxy finds Chris Pratt racing against the clock to retrieve his beloved Walkman before the rest of his crew takes off without him. He encounters actor Spencer Wilding, playing a mean prison guard who is enjoying Escape (The Pina Colada Song) on the Sony cassette player when he gets his comupance. There was actually more to Spencer Wilding's role that we didn't get to see.
Director James Gunn has posted a photo of himself with Spencer Wilding, revealing why the man is holding a miniature can of Play-Doh. He also goes onto describe a scene where the Guard dances through the prison listening to the Walkmen. Check out the photo, then read on for James Gunn's latest tale from the set:
"Here's me and the actor Spencer Wilding who played the Mean Guard who jabs »
It’s another day, another milestone for “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Or maybe two.
The Marvel-Disney tentpole has earned $300 million at both the domestic and foreign box offices. “Guardians,” the highest grossing film of the year in the U.S., hit the mark on Friday and will make over $305 million Stateside by Sunday. It will cross $600 million worldwide by Saturday.
“Guardians” is the only movie of the year to cross $300 million domestically. Fellow Marvel-Disney blockbuster “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” grossed $259.7 million, Warner Bros.’ “The Lego Movie” hauled $257.7 million and Paramount’s “Transformers: Age of Extinction” reeled in $244.8 million. “Transformers,” however, is the global champ with $1.07 billion. The bulk of its revenues came from China, where “Guardians” won’t debut for another month.

After becoming Marvel’s biggest-franchise starter at the global box-office by overtaking the haul of 2008’s Iron Man earlier in the week, James Gunn’s space opera Guardians of the Galaxy has now become the first release of 2014 to hit $300 million domestically and has also crossed the $600 million mark worldwide. Having opened in Japan yesterday, and with a Chinese release still to come, Guardians certainly has a good chance of becoming the highest-grossing comic book movie of the year, with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on $708 million, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on $714 million and X-Men: Days of Future Past on $745 million.
Guardians of the Galaxy sees Gunn directing a cast that includes Chris Pratt (The Lego Movie) as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora, Dave Bautista (Riddick) as Drax the Destroyer, Bradley Cooper (American Hustle) as Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious 6) as Groot, Benicio Del Toro (Sin City) as The Collector, »

With the release of the Star Trek: The Compendium in the USA, that includes Jj Abrams’ Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness on Blu-Ray, they’ve shared this rather entertaining gag reel from the latter – and as always with these there’s a lot of fun to be had.
I don’t know why we love watching things go so terrible wrong in dramatic moments but maybe it’s because we feel we’d never be able to keep a straight face when chasing Khan through a starship, you know, as you do. In this quick selection of clips, you get some Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana and our favourite Brit Benedict Cumberbatch having a moment, check it out below:
Sure there’s only been the two new films so far, but that Star Trek: The Compendium still looks impressive and if you wanted »

That's a wrap on New York Fashion Week! Celebrities came out in droves this year to check out the Spring 2015 collections from designers like Proenza Schouler, Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, and many more. On Thursday, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour made the ultimate front-row duo, smiling and laughing at the Calvin Klein show. The day before, Miley Cyrus showed off her crazy, colorful new accessories at the Jeremy Scott show, and nearby, pregnant Zoe Saldana checked out the collections from Hugo Boss and Jason Wu. On Tuesday, Britney Spears made her Nyfw runway debut when she showed her line of lingerie for buyers and the press. Other presentations drew stars like Kendall Jenner, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Olivia Palermo, Nicki Minaj, and Naomi Campbell, and earlier in the week, Maggie Gyllenhaal and model Coco Rocha were on hand for a kickoff event. Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn even »
For some reason, with only two films in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, someone at Paramount Pictures decided it was a good time to release Star Trek: The Compendium. Since it only has Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness on Blu-Ray along with a whole slew of extras for each film, we're not sure that we'd call that a compendium, but whatever. The good thing to come out of it are some unseen extras from the sci-fi sequel from J.J. Abrams, including a hilarious gag reel featuring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana and even Benedict Cumberbatch making the most of their movie mistakes. Watch below! Check out the gag reel teaser for Star Trek Into Darkness found on YouTube (via SlashFilm): Star Trek: The Compendium is available for purchase right now and includes Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness on Blu-Ray along with digital »

I know Star Trek Into Darkness came out over a year ago, but this blooper reel has just been released, and it deserves your eyeballs. Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, and Simon Pegg are all featured flubbing lines and accidentally smashing walls (seriously), but Benedict Cumberbatch is the funniest one. He's so serious in the movie that it's straight-up weird to see him break character midshoot. In true Cumberbatch fashion, it's the best. The reel is featured on the Star Trek: The Compendium box set, or you can just watch it below. This video has been deleted. Front Page Image Source: Paramount Pictures »

PWMania has posted up a piece about Bautista’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying Marvel Studios is “currently restructuring his contract that will likely see him get more money due to the success of Guardians of the Galaxy. This will also lock Bautista in for a number of other Marvel movies. Bautista is slated for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as well as the 3rd Avengers movie, where he will have a significant role. That movie will be a few years down the road.”
It certainly sounds like Bautista may be a big key in the future of the Marvel’s Phase Three, but most of the news here should be taken with a grain of salt. »
