How author Adam Mansbach and Samuel L. Jackson reunited to 'Wake the F-k Up'

Jackson popped up this morning in an unabashedly partisan campaign video urging lethargic Obama supporters to “Wake the F— Up.” If the tone and rhyming rhythm sound a little familiar, it’s probably because the video resembles Jackson’s narration of Adam Mansbach’s best-selling “children’s book,” Go the F— to Sleep. Samuel L. Jackson is following in the footsteps of Sarah Silverman in a hilarious anti-Mitt Romney video entitled "Wake The F**K Up." The clip was written by Adam Mansbach, the author of "Go the Fuck to Sleep," which itself became a viral sensation when both Jackson and Werner Herzog narrate versions.  Boaz Yakin ("Fresh," "Remember The Titans") and Kitao Sakurai ("Aardvark") co-directed the new clip, and like the Silverman video, it was sponsored by the Jewish Council for Research and Education. "Sorry my friends but there's no time to snore," Jackson says in the Nsfw nursery rhyme in the  clip. "An out-of-touch millionaire has just declared war. On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay. We're all on our own if Romney has his way..." Watch the entire clip below: »

Andrew Barchilon and Kitao Sakurai, the cofounders of the New York-based production company Naked Faces. got their start in the world of film. Sakurai shot and Barchilon produced Ry Russo-Young's "You Wont Miss Me," after which the pair went on to make 2010 festival favorite "Aardvark," a slow-burning noir about a blind jiu-jitsu student who gets pulled into the shady doings of his friend and instructor (Barchilon served as producer while Sakurai wrote and directed the film). Their latest project finds them not just venturing into television but breaking it down as well (sometimes literally). "The Eric Andre Show," currently airing on Adult Swim on Sundays at 12:30am, is technically a talk show with interviews and planned bits. But host Eric Andre and his sidekick Hannibal Buress oversee what's more a scene of surreal, apocalyptic strangeness taking place on some alternate reality public access channel in which Savion »
