Libuse Safránková was born on June 7, 1953 in Brno, Czechoslovakia. She is an actress, known for Kolya (1996), Three Wishes for Cinderella (1973) and Gympl s (r)ucením omezeným (2012). She is married to Josef Abrhám. They have one child.

She turned down the part of Jolana's mother in Úcastníci zájezdu (2006), eventually played by Eva Holubová.
She turned down the part of Vilma in Kamenák (2003), eventually played by Jana Paulová.
Due to her illness at the time of shooting, she turned down the title part of princess Arabela in Arabela (1979), eventually played by Jana Nagyová. However, because of Nagyová's strong Slovak accent Safránková over-dubbed her in post-production.
She turned down the part of Maryska in Shortcuts (1981), eventually played by Magda Vásáryová.
She turned down the part of Arabela in Arabela se vrací (1993), eventually played by her sister Miroslava Safránková.
