‘This Is Us’ Season 2 Adds Sylvester Stallone in Guest Starring Role

3 August 2017 11:29 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Sylvester Stallone will appear in “This Is Us” Season 2, series showrunner Dan Fogelman revealed Thursday at the TCA summer press tour.

Stallone will appear in a guest starring role opposite Justin Hartley’s character as a co-star in his new film within the series. Stallone previously appeared with “This Is Us” star Milo Ventimiglia in the 2006 film “Rocky Balboa,” though it is doubtful the two will share any screentime in the NBC series due to its multiple timelines.

Fogelman told reporters that Stallone is only currently booked for one episode, but “It’s a big part,” he said.

“It’s a war period film that Justin is starring in,” said Fogelman. “Stallone is coming in as himself in the show but playing a character in the film who’s a mentor figure who starts bringing up some stuff for Justin’s character involving Jack and his relationship with his own father.”

NCIS Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 16 Review: Old Tricks

5 March 2017 7:57 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Finally, some closure.

It was a good mix of light and dark as quite a few hanging storylines rightfully got resolved on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 16.

Also, recapping was artfully woven in throughout. I guess you have to do that with only a couple of episodes in a month and a half. Otherwise, people forget.

The fun part was watching Deeks and Kensi take down the two aging con artists hoping to prey on the residents of a nursing home.

O'Boyle and Ginger, played by Martin Mull and Debra Jo Rupp, seemed to view what they were doing as almost a public service.

O'Boyle: It's not a scam. They bequeath that money to us.

Ginger: These people have no families. Their inheritance just goes to the government.

O'Boyle: I say better us than them.
