Iron Man 3’s Ty Simpkins returning for Avengers 4

11 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Over the past few weeks we’ve had several Marvel superheroes confirmed for the cast of the currently in production Avengers 4, and now we have word of a supporting character set to make his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with IMDb reporting that Ty Simpkins is set to reprise his Iron Man 3 role as Harley Keener.

The now 16-year-old Simpkins played the young tech genius in the last Iron Man solo movie, and reportedly signed a three-film deal with Marvel at the time, prompting speculation that his character could go on to become a superhero character in his own right, perhaps as a version of Nova, or even a successor to Tony Stark as Iron Man.

Given that Avengers 4 is set to mark an end and a new beginning for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, perhaps Simpkins’ Harley is being prepped for a bigger role in Phase Four?

Josh Brolin discusses his experience on Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, compares the film to The Godfather

20 October 2017 8:45 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Earlier today we brought you some comments from Josh Brolin about his upcoming role as Cable in 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool 2 and X-Force, but of course that’s not the only comic book role he has in the pipeline as 2018 will see him battling Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as Thanos in Marvel StudiosAvengers: Infinity War.

During an interview with Collider, Brolin has been chatting about his experience on the hotly-anticipated superhero epic, as well as sharing some praise for directors Anthony and Joe Russo.

“Dude, I’m in a position just personally where not everybody loves me and that’s okay,” said Brolin when asked if he’s concerned that fans will hate him for battling our favourite Marvel heroes. “Look, not everybody can be on your side all the time and that’s okay. Rumored Plot Details For Ant-Man And The Wasp Hint At Another Trip Into The Quantum Realm

19 October 2017 7:00 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

A host of alleged plot details for Ant-Man and the Wasp have surfaced from the Quantum Realm (read: McU Exchange), and it looks like the titular duo will be on the hunt for Janet van Dyne come 2019.

First teased in Peyton Reed’s rip-roaring sleeper hit, in McU canon, Janet van Dyne is the unsung hero of 1987, when she plunged into the Quantum Realm in order to disarm a Soviet Icbm (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile). Heartbroken, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) later told the young Hope (Evangeline Lilly) that her mother was killed in a plane crash, and it wasn’t until the advent of Scott Lang, along with his climactic showdown with Darren Cross/Yellow Jacket, that Hank Pym began to question his wife’s disappearance. Because you know what they say about going sub-atomic…

Still, Marvel has since cast Michelle Pfeiffer in the role of Janet van Dyne, which tells »

Okay, so it’s very similar to the original, but Marvel has unveiled an updated logo for next year’s massively-anticipated superhero epic Avengers: Infinity War, which features a brighter colour scheme and a revamped font for the subtitle. Not quite a trailer, but it will have to do for now!

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Fincher Is No Fan Of Marvel

After some harsh words from An American Werewolf in London director John Landis, it’s the turn of Fight Club helmer David Fincher to shoot down the work of Marvel Studios. In an interview with Yellow King Film Boy, Fincher took issue with the often light-hearted, and less-risky storytelling of Marvel’s ongoing shared universe. “Look, there’s a very large talent pool of people who don’t feel there’s much for them in terms of sustenance working for Marvel. And I think that if we can make a playground for them that is thoughtful, adult, interesting, complex, challenging stories and figure out ways to pull them into it, »

Ant-Man and the Wasp Reunite in Latest Photos from Marvel Set

With production continuing on Ant-Man and the Wasp in Atlanta, new set photos emerged over the weekend, offering a better look at Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly in their full Ant-Man and Wasp costumes, without the masks. There are also new photos that show Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, who is seen in some photos wearing an FBI hat and jacket, although no details about why he's supposedly working for the FBI have been revealed. Plot details have been hard to come by ever since production started in August, and unfortunately, there isn't much to be gleaned from these images either.

Ant-Man and the Wasp began production in August, with shooting taking place in both Atlanta and San Francisco, although it isn't clear when filming will wrap. The sequel opens in U.S. theaters on July 6, 2018. The story is set in the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, where Scott Lang »

The Titular Duo Joins Forces In Latest Ant-Man And The Wasp Set Pics

16 October 2017 10:07 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Just Jared is at it again.

It was only this morning that we digested the most recent batch of set photos for Ant-Man and the Wasp, in which Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym was seen sporting a very peculiar disguise, and we now have another helping of pictures that were captured on location in Atlanta – the same city that’s currently playing host to a number of big-name blockbusters, including Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the untitled Avengers 4.

When it comes to Peyton Reed’s pint-sized sequel, though, Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently confirmed that principal photography ought to be finished in the coming weeks, which is just as well considering Sony’s Venom spinoff is about to move into town.

Meanwhile, Just Jared’s latest scoop is all about the titular duo at the heart of the movie, as below you’ll find both Paul Rudd (Scott Lang) and »

Ant-Man 2 Set Photos Show Paul Rudd in New Costume

14 October 2017 12:29 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Ant-Man and the Wasp is currently filming in Atlanta and some new photos from the set feature Paul Rudd as Scott Lang in the new Ant-Man suit. The 48-year-old actor was spotted running, jumping, and yelling while in character on the set of the upcoming movie with a new updated costume. These are the first shots of Paul Rudd in the Ant-Man suit after several pictures of Evangeline Lilly suited up as the Wasp have been spotted for the last few months. Previously, we had seen Rudd's stunt double wearing the suit on the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The newest pictures from the set come to us via JustJared and they feature the first head-to-toe shots of Paul Rudd in the full suit, minus the Ant-Man mask, which seems to be folded over his head. Rudd can be seen running in place and what appears to be yelling, »

Paul Rudd Goes On The Run In New Ant-Man And The Wasp Set Pics

14 October 2017 7:12 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

One glance at the Marvel slate will tell you that Ant-Man and the Wasp finds itself sandwiched between Infinity War and the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.

The only other McU film pencilled in for that same window is the long-in-development Captain Marvel solo movie, though Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck needn’t worry too much about continuity as the vast majority of their spinoff is set to unravel in the 1990s, when Carol Danvers crosses paths with the villainous Skrulls.

For Ant-Man and the Wasp, it’s a totally different story. The official synopsis states that Peyton Reed’s diminutive sequel takes place “in the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War,” when Scott Lang is on the run once again. In fact, that’s exactly what’s being depicted in this new batch of set photos below, which come to us by way of Just Jared and bring us closer to the »

Update: Avengers: Infinity War trailer is still being finished, will arrive before the end of the year

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the first glimpse (not counting the leak earlier this year) of Avengers: Infinity War. The film promises to be huge — even the cast agrees — and the public is clamouring to know what all the fuss is about. So, where is our trailer? One would think we’d have some kind of footage by now, given that the film is only a little over six months away. Well, the answer is simple: it’s not ready yet. Today, Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito took to Twitter to answer a fan’s query about the arrival date of the film’s first trailer:

All I can say is that I love it and I hope all you feel the same. It’s currently being finished so it’s not ready yet. https://t.co/AIKdY5sgkF

Ant-Man And The Wasp Will Honour The Original’s Tone And Humour

11 October 2017 11:15 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Against all odds – after a troubled pre-production process – 2015’s Ant-Man became a giant success upon its release. Having been so warmly embraced by fans, it came as no surprise when a sequel was quickly announced, but what was astonishing, was the fact that with the sequel – titled Ant-Man And The Wasp – Marvel would evidently be giving more space to female characters. This is a marked improvement upon the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and this progress was further enhanced with the announcement that Michelle Pfeiffer would join the cast, in the role of Janet van Dyne.

The Golden Globe winner is a bona fide icon of cinema, with three Academy Award nominations to her name. But, she’s also, very specifically, an icon of comic book movies. Back in 1992, she delivered a pitch-perfect performance as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns – which remains one of the »

Michelle Pfeiffer Would Love To Play Catwoman Again

Michelle Pfeiffer will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year when she debuts as Janet Van Dyne Aka the original Wasp in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, as old school superhero film lovers will know, this isn’t the actress’ first time in a comic book movie. Pfeiffer previously starred as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in 1992’s Batman Returns

Though the flick itself often divides people over its surreal, dark content, pretty much every Batman fans agrees that Pfeiffer is tremendous in it, arguably remaining the finest cinematic take on the character to this day. Could she ever play the role again, though? That remains to be seen, but Pfeiffer herself is up for the idea. While chatting with Variety, the actress said that “she would love to reprise her Catwoman character.”

On why her interpretation of Selina Kyle is so well regarded, Pfeiffer remained humble, citing director Tim Burton »
