Polly Rowles (1914–2001)

After moving from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Hollywood she signed a movie contract with Universal. In the 1930s, she appeared in a few films while at that studio and launched her stage career by 1938. Her Broadway debut was as Calpurnia in an Orson Welles' production of "Julius Caesar."
