Check out the official UK trailer and poster for the remake of the sleazy 80s slasher Maniac, which is directed by Franck Khalfoun (from a script by Alexandre Aja) and stars Elijah Wood. Set for a March 15th release here in the UK, the film also features Nora Arnezeder, America Olivo, Megan Duffy, Jan Broberg, Liane Balaban and Sammi Rotibi.

Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.

I caught the film at FrightFest last August and wasn’t that impressed, but I’m willing to give the film »
