Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Report Card: A

13 December 2012 11:11 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

With over a week to process the twists and turns from an exhilarating Sons of Anarchy Season 5 finale - Tara is in jail?!? Clay is in jail?!? Tigs owns a dog?!? - it's time to breakdown another violent, crazy, Kurt Sutter-inspired ride.

Report Card style!

Read on for my evaluation of 13 intense episodes and then weigh in with your own grade of this year's Soa...

Best Character: Jax Teller. Is there really any other option? Season 5 was geared around Jax's presidency and the question of which path he'd choose. Any hope that he'd make his father's dreams come true were destroyed along with the back of Opie's head early on, however, and Charlie Hunnam excelled in depicting the angry melancholy that engulfed Jax for the rest of the run.

Worst Character: Juice. This may be the only show I watch for which I can say I truly like every single character. »

SoA’s Juice Squeezes Into Svu

12 December 2012 6:12 PM, PST | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

Don’t cry for Juice from Sons of Anarchy; actor Theo Rossi, who played Juice on the action series, is now scheduled for a Law & Order: Svu appearance. The FX biker series just wrapped its season five finale on the airwaves, but you can see Rossi on Svu‘s upcoming January 2nd episode on NBC.

TV Line said Rossi would play Enrique Rodriguez, a “working-class Catholic” who learns his sister was a victim of a church “cover-up”. Like any good brother would, Rodriguez takes an active role in trying to get justice for his sister.

Boomtron faithful know this guest appearance lines up with the upcoming appearance of True Blood’s Denis O’Hare. O’Hare will play a priest in the same episode. His character had better watch his back.

In fact, another noteworthy actor is sharing the guest starring limelight with Rossi and O’Hare. Boardwalk Empire‘s »

Law & Order: Svu Scoop: Sons of Anarchy's Theo Rossi Is Out for Justice

11 December 2012 9:30 AM, PST | | See recent news »

Fresh off the Sons of Anarchy Season 5 finale, Theo Rossi, who plays Juice on the FX biker drama, will guest-star on Law & Order: Svu.

TVLine has learned that Rossi will appear in the Jan. 2 episode of NBC’s long-running procedural as Enrique Rodriguez, a working-class Catholic who is determined to seek justice for his sister when he finds that she was part of a church cover-up.

The potential church scandal comes to light as Detective Tutuola angles to prove his ex-brother-in-law (Boardwalk Empire‘s Laray Harvey) innocent of assaulting a priest (True Blood’s Denis O’Hare).

Sons of Anarchy: Season Five Ratings

5 December 2012 10:32 PM, PST | | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

Will the great ratings for this FX TV series last as long as the power struggles of the no-nonsense Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club of Charming, CA? The cable channel sure hopes so.

Currently in its fifth season, this critically-acclaimed TV show features a large ensemble cast that includes Charlie Hunnam, Dayton Callie, Katey Sagal, Kim Coates, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Ron Perlman, Ryan Hurst, Theo Rossi, and Tommy Flanagan.

The drama's ratings are typically the best way to tell if Sons of Anarchy will be cancelled or renewed for another season but the show was renewed through season six back in February. The fifth season typically airs on Tuesday nights on FX. There are 13 installments this time.

These figures will be updated as the weeks progress so be sure to bookmark and return to this page: »

'Soa' season finale: Kim Coates talks Tig's fate

4 December 2012 8:37 PM, PST | EW - Inside TV | See recent - Inside TV news »

Spoiler alert! If you haven’t watched Sons of Anarchy’s season 5 finale, stop reading now. One of the big questions was whether fan favorite Tig (Kim Coates) would live or die. In a pre-finale poll, 21 percent of readers thought Pope (Harold Perrineau) would get his revenge on Tig, the man who killed his daughter (and the man whose daughter Pope burned alive in retaliation in the season premiere), while 28 percent thought Jax (Charlie Hunnam) would find a way to save Tig and 51 percent believed Tig would end up flying to Ireland with Clay (Ron Perlman). ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 5, Episode 10 Review – Between A Rock & A Hard Place

14 November 2012 7:10 AM, PST | | See recent Screen Rant news »

For a guy who started off as a Fox Force Five-like one-note character (he’s the tech expert with lightning bolts on his head!), Juice (Theo Rossi) has somehow become the unwitting cog in several different wheels. Sons of Anarchy season 4 saw Juice at the mercy of Eli Roosevelt (Rockmond Dunbar), and, to a greater extent, Lincoln Potter (Ray McKinnon), but all of that was quietly swept under the rug until Roosevelt decided Juice could be leverage in exchange for Frankie Diamonds (Chuck Zito). Of course, that didn’t work out, but it did manage to put poor old Juice back in play – at the exact moment Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Clay (Ron Perlman) have begun to seriously start moving pieces around the board.

Sons of Anarchy "Crucifixed,' double agents, unholy acts and Costco runs, some thoughts

13 November 2012 9:52 PM, PST | Monsters and Critics | See recent Monsters and Critics news »

There is a wonderful way the writers interject normalcy in what is very unreal, the world of Samcro and its epic power struggle underway between Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Clay (Ron Perlman), and how the sides are carving up. At one point, Juice (Theo Rossi) asks a returning Clay if he needs anything from Costco after rummaging around looking for some damning papers per Jax's orders. The visual of biker prospects standing in line for a steamed foot-long beef hot dog and a slice of pizza immediately forms in my head. And then I started craving their frozen yogurt. So it goes tonight, as Clay's exemplary manipulative skills has Juice torn with his new role as »

'Sons of Anarchy's' Theo Rossi: 'Juice Knows That the Dominoes Are Coming Down'

At the beginning of season five of Sons of Anarchy, Theo Rossi got to be part of a scene that reminded him of his early days on the show. His character, Juice, was visiting an escort service and decided to have a little fun of his own with the madam of the brothel. “Juice was kind of being funny, I remember I went to [creator] Kurt [Sutter] and said, ‘Nice! Juice is back to being the funny guy,’” Rossi, 37, tells The Hollywood Reporter. Photos: Emmys 2012: Kurt Sutter and Wife Katey Sagal on the Set of 'Sons of

One thing about the cast of FX's major hit series, "Sons of Anarchy," the cast actually gives a sh*t about our Veterans and the people suffering post Hurricane Sandy. 'Sons of Anarchy' star: Storm aftermath 'a lot worse than how it's being portrayed by media'

EW spoke to Sons of Anarchy — and Staten Island native — Theo Rossi (Juice Ortiz), who was home visiting family and friends when Sandy hit. He’s remained there ever since and gave us this first-hand account of the devastation.

“It’s so bad here, a lot worse than how its being portrayed by the media. They are finding bodies left and right, elderly people who don’t even watch the news or who knew the storm was coming. I was just with one of my best friends from high school and college, and his house is completely gone. One story »

Sons of Anarchy Season 5, Episode 8: “Ablation”

Written by Kurt Sutter

Directed by Karen Gaviola

Airs Tuesdays at 10pm (Et) on FX

It seems as if SoA‘s writers felt like taking a week off of the body count that ruled past week‘s episodes, much to the advantage of tying up some loose ends and delivering a strong episode through and through. Jax taps into some serious darkness while staying calm when the heat around him is pushed close to boiling point.

So it seems the outcome of last week‘s car-crash-cliff-hanger might cause some interesting story developments in the future. Everybody makes it out breathing and physically intact and Gemma having driven the car off the road whilst stoned plays out quite well. When Jax accuses his mother, Clay jumps to her rescue offering her the easy way out, by claiming Jax and Chibs’ attackers ran her off the road as well, »

'Sons of Anarchy' preview for Andare Pescare, hopefully no sleeping with the fish (Video)

Tune in alert for Going Fishin' aka 'Andare Pescare,' the title of the next episode of FX's "Sons of Anarchy." The show left us with an unconcious Chibs (Tommy Flanagan), a dithering Juice (Theo Rossi), a Gemma (Katey Sagal) bewildered by the news she has to go and get back in with Clay (Ron Perlman) and a grieving Roosevelt (Rockmond Dunbar) pressing Jax (Charlie Hunnam) for Frankie Diamonds (Chuck Zito) the Italian thorn in Samcro's side. Will Venus (Walt Goggins) ever come back? Probably not. I imagine she's shacked up in a mountain love nest with Darby (Mitch Pileggi) somewhere outside of town. Coming to Charming: The Mafia! Sons of Anarchy 'Ablation' sets new wheels in motion, some thoughts

30 October 2012 8:31 PM, PDT | Monsters and Critics | See recent Monsters and Critics news »

Ablation - The removal of material from the surface of an object by vaporization, chipping, or other erosive processes. Operative word here is 'erosive,' which is all that Clay (Ron Perlman) artfully embodies. What a fast on his feet thinker he is! Wheedling a confidence with Juice (Theo Rossi) and covering Gemma's (Katey Sagal) behind to get in with her, when ultimately that will be the set up Jax (Charlie Hunnam) constructs to snare Clay for the backstabbing and get him killed with unanimous club sanction. The pendulum has swung fully back to Jax and Nero working together in a perverse and constructive way, with Nero (Jimmy Smits) as a voice of reason, much like Bobby (Mark »

Rockmond Dunbar Talks Sons Of Anarchy Season 5, How He Came to Be a Part of the Show, Why Kurt Sutter Inspires Him, and More

On the FX drama series Sons of Anarchy, actor Rockmond Dunbar plays no-nonsense Charming Sheriff Eli Roosevelt.  After a tragic event turns his world upside down, the previously tough-as-nails lawman is clearly shaken to his core.  The show stars Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Kim Coates, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Theo Rossi and Dayton Callie. Sons of Anarchy' Toad's Wild Ride a biker PSA, some thoughts

24 October 2012 7:52 AM, PDT | Monsters and Critics | See recent Monsters and Critics news »

This episode vexed me for some reason. If you haven't see it yet, bugger off.First before we discuss story, I loved the camera work and lensed scenes-kudos to Peter Weller and the entire camera department for delivering adrenalin pumping scenes and new camera angles and technique during some chase scenes. Well done. Juice's (Theo Rossi) continued naivete regarding Clay are maddening to me as much as the Juice's black daddy blackmail club drama from last season. I'm not buying it and at the risk of being called a fat c*nt blogger on Twitter, it's the weak link in the Soa chain for me. Despite that big cracks emerge in Juice's Clay loyalty this episode, it's not feeling right »

Sons Of Anarchy Creator Kurt Sutter Talks Season Five, Character Deaths and Dynamics, and the Final Seasons

With only two more seasons left, following this current one, to tell the show’s story, things are getting very, very real on the hit FX drama series Sons of Anarchy.  Never one to shy away from going there when the story calls for it, show creator Kurt Sutter did just that, in the game-changing episode “Laying Pipe,” opening up emotional ramifications for the rest of the season. During this recent interview to discuss the events of that episode, executive producer Kurt Sutter talked about when he knew the character’s fate and how the actor found out, the motivations for the character’s actions, the mood on set while shooting that scene, how it will affect Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) leadership and the emotional relationships of the club going forward, what’s to come for Juice (Theo Rossi), whether audiences will ever soften to Damon Pope (Harold Perrineau), whether »

Sons of Anarchy: Who Will Meet the Grim Reaper?

24 September 2012 3:01 PM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

Just when you were thinking Sons of Anarchy couldn’t make its fifth season any more intense, word has spread that this week’s episode, “Laying Pipe,” will see an important individual within Samcro biting the dust. In case that particular idiom has no meaning to you, I’ll spell it out in plain, boring English: someone is going to die. And it’s not going to be just a random extra. This death will have some weight to it. I would start mentally preparing yourself for it.

While I can’t say one or the other who the unlucky person receiving this rose of death will be, I can at least narrow it down to six people thanks to EW. Wayne Unser (Dayton Callie), the former chief, has terminal cancer, making him a prime suspect for either natural or suicidal death, but his recent foray into investigating Charming break-ins »
