If you’re expecting a story about a spoiled model-turned-actor throwing a tantrum to get a super-fun part in one of the summer’s biggest sci-fi films, you’re going to be disappointed. But the real story’s pretty good too.
It’s about Delevingne’s unconventional audition with the visionary French director Besson (Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element), who was finally set to make a big-screen version of his favourite childhood comic book, Valérian and Laureline, by French writer Pierre Christin. »

Released to an almost euphoric reception back in the summer of 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road became something of an event and has become one of the great action films of the 21st century. Talk of a sequel has been mentioned ever since, but it may be the prequel that beats it to filming.
Speaking about the film and the prospects of a Furiosa-led prequel whilst promoting her new film Atomic Blonde, star Charlize Theron has been chatting to Variety about her excitement about potentially returning to the shaven-headed character and says that it may become a reality much quicker than expected.
In an interview with Variety, Theron said:
“I’d love to. There were three scripts. They were written as backstories to Max’s character and to Furiosa’s character. But at the end of the day, this thing lives and breathes with [director] George [Miller]. I think Warner Bros. knows that. »

Coinciding with its home-entertainment release this week, Screen Junkies has unveiled an Honest Trailer for The Fate of the Furious, which you can watch below…
Join Tyrese, Ludacris, Kurt Russel, and other characters who you refer to as their actor’s names as they fade into the background of this buddy comedy starring Jason Stratham and The Rock who are two meta-humans on opposite sides of the law and responsible for every cool scene in the movie; all while struggling not to give into raw animal lust for each other.
Meanwhile it’s a battle of the egos as The Rock and Vin Diesel almost share screen time as they sort of cross paths in voice overs or edits that make it seem like Vin wasn’t the “candy ass” male co-star The Rock called out on Instagram. It’s best to just turn your brain off and watch the cars go “boom! »

The conversation is changing. With each passing week, more and more female stars have shared their experiences with rampant Hollywood sexism, from horrifying stories about giving “blowjob eyes” at auditions to tales of pay inequality and pushing for more female-led stories. While the sheer scale of the stories is upsetting — it seems like every actress has their own tale to tell — that these stars feel comfortable speaking out on the subject is heartening, one step closer to an industry that doesn’t have this kind of discrimination seemingly baked into its everyday operations.
While there have certainly been misfires along the way — actress and director Elizabeth Banks was recently taken to task for (incorrectly) calling out Steven Spielberg for never directing films with female leads, and “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke compared sexism to racism in an ill-concieved statement to Rolling Stone — the recent uptick in discussion is proof that the, »

For the first time in the franchise’s long, meandering history, The Fate of the Furious placed the Toretto crew on a collision course with a female antagonist.
Her name? Cipher, a whip-smart cyberterrorist who has secretly been pulling the strings behind all of the events featured in Universal’s petrolhead series since 2009’s Fast and Furious. On paper, it makes for quite the formidable foe, and F. Gary Gray and the Powers That Be over at Universal arguably appointed the best actress for the gig: Charlize Theron.
Even if the script was riddled with wonky dialogue and dubious plot holes, the former Mad Max: Fury Road star proved to be an exciting addition to the Fast and Furious saga, while narratively speaking Theron’s Cipher opened up a greater criminal underworld for the franchise to explore as it rounds the home stretch – remember, Fate jump-started a final mainline trilogy of action blockbusters for Universal, »

The Fast and the Furious is a movie juggernaut that will not be stopped. The eighth installment of the series, The Fate of the Furious, finds Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) at the mercy of the psychopathic cyberterrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron) who forces him to go against his crew and aid her in stealing an Emp device. The sequel formerly known as Fast 8 shouldered a particular weight of expectation prior to release because of Paul Walker’s tragic, untimely death – even if Universal considered incorporating a CG Brian O’Connor a la Peter Cushing in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – and it’s a testimony to Gray and his crew that The Fate of the Furious managed to carve out a new chapter in Universal’s petrolhead franchise, all the while scooping up $1.16 billion at the worldwide box office.
It’s the beginning of an all-new and seemingly final trilogy of Fast and Furious movies at the studio – barring those standalone spinoffs, of course – what with plans in place for the as-yet-untitled Fast 9 and Furious 10 across 2019 and 2021, respectively. »

Aside from the Fast & Furious 9 release date being announced last February, very little is known about this action sequel, except that it is definitely happening. Chris Morgan, who has written all but the first two Fast & Furious movies, will likely be on board to write the script, although it hasn't been confirmed who will direct at this time. While promoting the home video release of The Fate of the Furious, director F. Gary Gray teased that the franchise may actually be launched into outer space.
Ever since the franchise started in Los Angeles with 2001's The Fast and the Furious, the franchise has been a globe-hopping affair, heading to Miami, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Abu Dhabi, London, New York City and even Cuba in this year's The Fate of the Furious. While Fast & Furious 9 will likely take the franchise to another new locale, there have been jokes that the franchise »
Universal’s box office smash The Fate of the Furious hits DVD and Blu-ray this coming week, complete with an extended and unrated Director’s Cut featuring an additional 13 minutes of footage, and director F. Gary Gray has been chatting to CinemaBlend about what fans can expect from this new version.
“It’s 13 minutes longer, and it’s more action, more humor,” states Gray. “We’re able to give a couple moments, dramatic moments, the room to breathe a little more. In certain ways I’ve improved certain performances, and not only enhanced, but added action sequences. I love humor — comedy and humor. It’s kind of my favorite thing. So to add in jokes, some of the jokes are a little edgy… This is probably the most adult tone-wise in the franchise. We push it a little more with the stuff that’s cut out. I’m happy about »

“We had hundred of conversations about the best way, the classiest way to handle and address Paul’s legacy in this franchise. You know, there’s multiple ways you can go. You could create a digital Paul and make him more of a character. You could leave him out and pretend that he’s in this world anymore. These are all conversations we had and we felt like the choice we made respected his legacy the best. »
