Christian Bale is once again undergoing a dramatic weight transformation — this time for a role as none other than former Vice President Dick Cheney.

The Oscar-winner, 43, debuted the chubbier look this weekend at the Telluride Film Festival, where he was in town to premier his upcoming movie Hostiles.

Bale, who also had his eyebrows dyed blonde to more closely resemble the polarizing politician, is starring as Cheney in the upcoming biopic Backseat. The film also stars Amy Adams as Lynne CheneySam Rockwell as former President George W. BushSteve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld and Bill Pullman as Nelson Rockefeller. »

Sam Rockwell is in final talks to take on the role of President George W. Bush in Backseat, writer-director Adam McKay’s upcoming biopic of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

The film will see Christian Bale leading the cast a Cheney, as it chronicles his life from avoiding the draft for the Vietnam War through his rise to CEO of multinational corporation Halliburton, and his stint in office as the Vice President under George W. Bush.

Also set to feature in the cast are Steve Carell as Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Amy Adams as Cheney’s wife Lynne, and Bill Pullman as Nelson Rockefeller. Production is slated to get underway in September. »
