Magic Mike star Bomer taking on a supporting role as a ‘technician with a robotic hand who is married to a manipulative woman, played by Coughlan.

First-time director Plotnick wanted to use the situation as a metaphor for his ‘70s childhood:

People think that the 1970s were about the discos and the free love, but in the suburbs you were left feeling, »

Patrick Wilson Orbits Space Station 76

25 October 2012 3:40 PM, PDT | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

How do you scoop up seven actors, shoot them into space to work on a 1970s-style space station and then return them safely to the Earth? The answer is, you don’t. So it is that, like so many dogs and chimps before them, we must bid farewell to Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler, Marisa Coughlan, Matt Bomer, Jerry O’Connell, Kali Rocha and Kylie Rogers. Their sacrifice will not be in v... Sorry, we’re now being told it was all just a film called Space Station 76, shot on a set in Los Angeles. The man responsible for this under-the-radar project is actor/ performance coach/playwright Jack Plotnick, who co-wrote the film, convinced the cast to come aboard and directed it all.Space Station 76 takes place on the titular orbiting platform, where Wilson is the bitter, suicidal captain, Tyler the new assistant captain who arrives and causes tension, »

Brake

Review by Andrew McArthur

Stars: Stephen Dorff, Chyler Leigh, Jr Bourne, Tom Berenger, Kali Rocha, Pruitt Taylor Vince | Written by Timothy Mannion | Directed by Gabe Torres

Stephen Dorff stars in Gabe Torres’ claustrophobic thriller, Brake, which proves to be far more than another Buried. After recieving its UK premiere at this years’ Edinburgh International Film Festival, Brake hits DVD and Blu-ray next week, providing some highly entertaining B-Movie thrills alongside another stellar performance from Dorff.

Secret Service agent, Jeremy Reins (Dorff) wakes up trapped in the boot (or trunk, for the non-Brits) of a car, with no recollection as to how he got there. Reins is forced to endure a series of physical and mental tortures as terrorists attempt to extract the location of Roulette, the President’s secret bunker.

Tim Mannion’s screenplay may not be the most original piece of writing in recent years, with obvious parallels »

Brake (2012) Movie Trailer: Stephen Dorff, Chyler Leigh, Gabe Torres

Brake Trailer. Gabe TorresBrake (2012) movie trailer stars Stephen Dorff, Chyler Leigh, Jr Bourne, Tom Berenger, and Kali Rocha. Brake‘s plot synopsis: “A Secret Service Agent is held captive in the trunk of a car and endures high-speed mental and physical torture as terrorists attempt to extract needed information for their sinister plot.”

I thought this was a re-dux of Buried but it actually looks much better. The viewer will be surprised at the amount and varying tricks up the kidnapper’s sleeve.

Brake also stars King Orba, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Sammy Sheik, Kent Shocknek, Jaylen Moore, Stephen J. Bridgewater, and Matthew Pollino.

Watch the Brake movie trailer and leave your thoughts on it in the comments section below. For more Brake photos, videos, and information, check out our Brake Page. Brake opens in Us theaters through IFC in Theaters on March 23, 2012.

And no one will answer his cries for help. Then, he hears the sound of an engine and it all becomes clear...he's trapped in the trunk of a moving car. As his captors reveal themselves and their motives, Jeremy realizes he won't be set free until he gives up the whereabouts of "Roulette," a secret location where the U.S. President is taken in the event of a terrorist attack. These events and more unspool in the tense race-against-time thriller Brake, which was shot in a single location by director Gabe Torres. We have your first look at Brake, which »
