In a full-length article on Lynne by Barrie Roberts for "Classic Images," the author claims that, at the insistence of Republic Studios, 15-year-old Lynne's birth year was intentionally altered from 1922 to 1919 in order to avoid trouble in her pursuing romantic co-star roles on film.
