The classic ponytail should never be overlooked. That said, there are instances in which the simple style can use a little zhush—a subtle upgrade, if you will. To do this, celebs like Charlize Theron, Iggy Azalea and Emma Roberts have been incorporating braids of all varieties—French, fishtail, you name it—into their ponytails. Although beautiful and covet-worthy, these intricate styles are also complicated and—let's be honest—ain't nobody got time for that. How do we find that perfect medium between super simple and red-carpet status? Celeb hairstylist Glenn Nutley stopped by E! News to show us how to upgrade a tried-and-true pony with a braid you can »
So are you obsessed with Scream Queens yet? We know most of you haven't seen the pilot, but what we don't know is how you could look at the cast lists, watch those trailers, or listen to us (and everyone else who has seen it) gush endlessly and not already be beyond excited. There's not a single character on the show who isn't our new favorite character, and that includes the four main guys, played by Nick Jonas, Diego Boneta, Glen Powell, and the man with the incredible name, Lucien Laviscount. The show is definitely ruled by women, and a lot of spectacular women at that—Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, and Emma Roberts, just to name a few—and they're supported by »

The title of Ryan Murphy’s new horror comedy series “Scream Queens” just may refer to the four girls at the center of the show, and a new series of videos introduces audiences to the Chanels. Emma Roberts stars as Chanel Oberlin, who’s such a Queen Bee that she named her clique and her three best friends after herself. “She’s a bitch, for lack of a better word,” Roberts said in her video. She’s flanked by Chanel #2, played by Ariana Grande, who’s described by the star as “the safest, least daring one of the group,” Chanel #3, played by newcomer Billie. »

"The Curse of Downers Grove" is an interesting twist in the career of young indie filmmaker Derick Martini. He came to acclaim with the family drama "Lymelife" with Alec Baldwin, Rory Culkin, and Emma Roberts. Martin Scorsese liked it so much he served as an executive producer. His follow-up “Hick,” with Chloe Moretz, Blake Lively and Eddie Redmayne -- a pretty notable cast -- ended up on many of year-end worst lists in 2011. Now Martini’s back with the teen horror “The Curse of Downers Grove.” Written by Bret Easton Ellis, the movie stars Bella Heathcote (“Dark Shadows”), “X-Men” actor Lucas Till, Kevin Zegers, Penelope Mitchell, Zane Holtz, Helen Slater, and Tom Arnold. Here’s the official synopsis: The town of Downers Grove looks like your average suburban neighborhood —but Downers Grove has a disturbing secret.... When Scream Queens debuts in September, it'll introduce a fresh brand of hell to college Greek life with the ladies of Kappa Kappa Tau. They're called the Chanels, after their "bitch" of a tyrant, Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), whom we get a closer look at in a new series of character profiles. As Roberts puts it lightly, she's not exactly "warm and fuzzy." We also meet the rest of her mean-girl clique, starting with Ariana Grande's Chanel No. 2. Creator Ryan Murphy felt Grande might enjoy the role because she's into all that "messed-up horror, Gothic, crazy, weird stuff." And then there's Chanel Nos. 3 and 5 (the fate, or even existence, of Chanel No. 4 remains a mystery). They're the Gretchen and Karen of the group, played by Billie Lourd and Abigail Breslin, just two of the many "super-good-looking and chill" sociopaths you'll presumably love to hate this fall. »

Allow us to introduce you to the Chanels, the similarly named mean girls at the center of executive producer Ryan Murphy’s new horror series on Fox, “Scream Queens” — come fall, you’ll be dying to be part of their clique.
Emma Roberts stars as Chanel Oberlin, the queen bee of Kappa Kappa Tau. “She isn’t exactly the nicest person, definitely not warm and fuzzy,” says Roberts. “She’s a b—-, for lack of a better word.” Never fear, though, Roberts promises there’s still plenty of humor in store. “‘Scream Queens’ is horror, but it’s a dark comedy,” she adds. “We were surprised by how funny the script is.”
Ariana Grande plays sorority sister Chanel #2. “She’s a loyal friend… she’s the most timid of the group,” says Grande. “She might be the safest, least daring one of the group.”
What’s Chanel #2’s goal? »

The looks we're drooling over this week are as summery as the season—and you better believe that short dresses abound. We were particularly taken with the asymmetric hem of Rachel McAdams' lacy Zuhair Murad frock, which the actress wore to a Los Angeles screening of her upcoming flick Southpaw (also starring her ESPYs date Jake Gyllenhaal). Jessica Chastain wowed in a lacy mini as well, donning a printed Preen dress with a black-lace skirt at a 2015 Comic-Con event. AnnaSophia Robb looked pretty in lilac print at the New York City premiere of Irrational Man, sporting an A-line Giamba dress and strappy black sandals. Emma Roberts, meanwhile, wore a deeper lilac hue in the form of an Awaveawake slip dress »
You already know that Scream Queens is about to be your new favorite show, but you might not yet be convinced that its cast is also your new favorite cast. We don't know how that's possible with people like Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, and even Nick Jonas involved, but we get it. Some of you are skeptics, and also crazy. Well, get ready to have your mind officially made up. Star Skyler Samuels not only excellently portrays Kappa Kappa Tao newbie Grace Gardner on Ryan Murphy's upcoming Fox series, but she also proves that she would make for one excellent E! News correspondent in this exclusive video diary about her time at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. From »
Before the world premiere of the Scream Queens pilot at San Diego Comic-Con, Jamie Lee Curtis emceed the event like it was last call the night before the Navy leaves the Golden Coast, and there was still plenty of partying to do. By the time Curtis had introduced the cast, including Emma Roberts and Lea Michele, and paid her respects to Scream Queens creator Ryan Murphy, the mood in the room was wild, jubilant, and maybe a little nuts. So in many respects, it reflected the tone of the maniacally entertaining television series they were about to watch.
While I have vowed not to give away any spoilers for the first hour of Fox’s high-concept slasher/comedy/soap opera/mystery thriller, I can definitely say that at »

If you’ve found yourself alarmed by Lea Michele’s tragic neck-brace in promos for Fox’s upcoming Scream Queens — this just in from the actress herself: “[Creator] Ryan [Murphy]could never have me in a windbreaker and baggy jeans for too long. He needs me in couture!”
That doesn’t mean, of course, that said designer duds might not end up spattered with blood and gore.
The "American Horror Story and Scream Queens" panel mash-up was a high-spirited meeting of Ryan Murphy’s impressive stable of talent, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Abigail Breslin, and Keke Palmer. Here’s what we learned: The character names for American Horror Story: Hotel cast: Matt Bomer is Donovan, Evan Peters is Mr. March, Sarah Paulson is Hypodermic Sally, and Kathy Bates is Iris. Ryan Murphy added that characters are connected to different seasons. Murphy showed his fanboy side in a big way when he revealed he didn’t want to make “Scream Queens without Jamie Lee Curtis. It was Curtis’s first time at Comic-Con. When asked why she'd never gone before, she replied, “I’ve been selling yogurt that makes you shit for the last 6 years.” Look for Curtis to “kick some ass” in Scream Queens as Murphy knows »

American Horror Story is still going strong, but in the fall, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are brining a brand new anthology series to Fox, Scream Queens. The horror-comedy centers on Kappa, the top sorority on campus with sky-high standards. When Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) demands that Kappa accept all new pledges, “Queen Bitch” Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) isn’t happy about it. However, that should be the least of her worries because there’s also a devil-clad killer racking up a body count on campus. Earlier today Murphy along with cast members Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Skyler Samuels, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin and Billie Lourd hit the Hall H stage alongside Angela Bassett, Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates of American Horror Story: Hotel for one, big joint panel moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s Tim Stack. We didn’t see any footage from either show, »

Knowing that the audience for Fox’s upcoming Scream Queens will be impatient to find out whodunit, showrunner Ryan Murphy isn’t going to make viewers wait: He’s introducing the murderer in the series’ premiere. But, of course, there’s a catch.
Though fans will “definitely meet the killer” in the horror-comedy’s two-hour launch on Sept. 22, Murphy said at a joint American Horror Story/Scream Queens panel at Comic-Con on Sunday that they won’t realize at the time who it is. However, “if you go back and watch that episode at the end [of the season], I think it’s very clear. »
The stars of Fox's new horror comedy anthology Scream Queens gave Comic-Con attendees plenty to, well, scream about Sunday. At a panel for the new series, stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Skyler Samuels, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer and Billie Lourde were joined by co-creator Ryan Murphy, who teased the new series as "Halloween meets Heathers." The mention of the latter elicited big screams from the crowd for Halloween star Curtis, who was attending Comic-Con for the first time. To the joy of the crowd, Curtis said she will pay tribute to her breakthrough role on Scream Queens.
